Silverado Grille removal

Has anyone ever dismantled a 2016 Silverado 1500 Grille? I’m trying to remove the 3 larger bars from the grille shell so I can get them painted. I haven’t figured out how to release the clips without damaging them. I’ve tried searching on here but couldn’t find anything.

If you pry those tabs they won’t break, what you want to do is bend them enough so the can come off, even if you break (which I highly doubt) there’s tons of them I’ve done this few time. I’ve also taking they entire grille to my paint shop to get it painted taken those three big pieces off is a big pain in the rear.

Thanks for the help. I’m going to try again tonight. If it becomes too much of a hassle then i will leave them on. I was hoping it might save me a little money with the painter.
