repair manual question

Recommended Posts

Posted

I plan to get a repair manual for my truck.

The actual Chevy book, and it is $99. (more than I want to spend right now)

The Chilton and Haynes are much cheaper.

What are the opinions on these two? Recomendations?

Thanks,

TJ

Actually I recomend both. Somtimes one will have better instructions and pictures then the other. Neithor is better then the other.

As far as I'm concerned you can never have enough manuals. I also have Chiltons big hardcover truck manuals, they cover several years and all American makes. They cover less of the basics & are more detailed in the different components (axles,trannys....) Then you can even give the Ford boys help.
