Truck Pulls To The Right!...HELP!

Recommended Posts

Posted

I got my truck aligned this past weekend and something funny happens now. Every time I hit a dip in the ground (and I mean the big drainage type dips, not the little pot hole types) , and the truck compresses down, the truck pulls to the right. It only happens during the compression, not any other time. I suspect that they adjusted my steering linkage too much one way. The steering wheel is straight though, and I can drive down a flat road and let go of the wheel and it goes straight. I am eventually gonna take it back, but I still want to know whats happening with it. Thanks guys!

are you talking about bump-steer? If it didn't happen before you got the alignment, then I suspect they might have forgotten to re-tighten something. I'd take it back as soon as possible and let them know the problem you're having.

Did they swap your front tires? After my deer accident, the bodyshop swapped the front left with the front right and when I got it back, it would track to the right after hitting a bump. Took it back and swapped the tires back and had it realigned. They swapped them because it would pull to the left, they tried a cheap way to fix it by swapping the tires. Just an idea. Chris
