can you change side rear view mirrors?

Just wondering if it might be possible to install Suburban or Escalade type side mirrrors to replace the stock towing mirrors that came with my 1500HD.

My current side rear view mirrrors are heated with turn signal indicators and they extend out farther for towing.

The rear view side mirrors on the Suburbans/Escalades are also heated and have a turn signal indicator but they fold in instead of extending out.

seems to me, the electrical might be all ready there, just might need some creative splicing.

also, would the current switch I have work or would I have to go to the one designed for these type mirrors?

I have a 2003 1500 HD with the power fold mirrors. Saying that, yes the mirrors would fit and I am almost positive that the switch on the drivers door is the same. On mine when you push the mirror adjust button to the right the mirrors fold in and when pushed to the left they fold out.

and does the three position switch above it have to be in the middle position?
