Help with Ultrastart remote starter/alarm

Hope someone might be able to help out here. The remote starter/alarm has two FOBs. One is a two-way transmitter that shows you the status of the vehicle and the other is just a 1-way that has the buttons on it. The problem I am having is that the 2-way transmitter will stop communicating with the alarm brain (almost as if it were out of range) out of the blue. When I try using the 1-way remote, it works just fine. After cycling the ingnition on the vehicle a couple of times the 2-way starts to work again for a while. There is no rhyme or reason for this to happen and, of course, it does not do it at regular basis. I have taken the remote (2-way) back to the dealer and they gave me another one. It still does the same thing at the same interval. It is funny that no matter what, the 1-way transmitter always works.

 

I would think that the next step is that they need to replace the brain of the alarm. Anyone have any other ideas?
