Okay read all the supercharging posts over the last year, just want to confirm the Magna-Charger/Radix is the way to go for a 2004 5.3L.

It doesnt hurt that their shop is 2 miles from my house, either!

TIA

radix is the way to go but if you plan to upgrade the motor and run more then 12psi the blower isn't good anymore. my boss has a whipple on his avalanche and it moves. but the radix electronics are much better

Nah, Im looking for something to give the Suburban just enough guts to get ouyt of its own way, nothing more.

The Radix will be the way to go for you! But dont let the others fool ya, the Radix is capable of more that you think.

The Radix can send about an extra 130hp to your rear wheels. That will make a very noticeable difference in your Suburban's performance. This system will also give you room to grow :D

What about the Vortech? My neighbor's brother owns a Speed Shop and recommended them. Havent read much on them.

If I decide to do it myself Tom might be getting a call. :D

*****EDIT*****

I think I'm going to stick with the Magnuson/Radix.

Vortech makes a nice system but their non-Aftercooled kit is only good for about 100hp. The Magnuson will also provide more power in the lower RPM range.

While I am at it, should I add headers and a shift kit?  WIfe decided shes getting a new 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring, so she gave me a little more cash to play with.

The mods in my sig is what I"ve don to prepare for a Radix S/C plus a trans cooler and 3.90 gears.

You need to check out Joe Gibbs web site. They are doing deals WITH GM and offering a waranty. Their system has a completely different intake system, bigger injectors. GM engineers worked with them on the Computer mods etc. I would get one myself but they don't make it for the 8.1 Saw one being installed on a SSR 5.3 by the Chevy dealer! FYI, more fodder for decision making
