Recalls on 98 Tahoe

Hey, are there any major recalls on my 98 Tahoe, i was wondering because i have a clunk in the rear end, only when you stop and then take off from a stop, also when you hold the brake and give it some gas, it feels like something is really loose in the rear of the truck, feels kind of like a motor mount loose but its in the rear end. You can also hear it to, when you take off from a start it makes a squak sound, its getting worse and i dont know what it would be. I checked the ujoint when i was replacing the fuel pump and it seemed to be ok. Any ideas? Would there be a recall on somthing like this or is it something simple. Thanks

Sounds like the drive line clunk i have fought with mine for a year now. It is mostly from the Drive shaft slip yoke. Do a search on this sight and you should find some info. I lubed mine , adjusted my rear brakes and also replaced my u-joints., lubed the shackels and thew dealer even put in a new transfer case. Nowe ist comeing back again i relubed the slip yoke and adjusted the brakes and its gone again. good luck
