Torsion Keys

Recommended Posts

So I have a buddy that took his truck in to get his torsion keys adjusted about 1.5" to level the truck out. He states the front end suspension is really stiff...is this common? or what is a solution to this?

thats a direct result of cranking the torsion bars. To minimize that effect back a few turns off the bolts and get aftermarket keys

Mine stiffened up when I had the shop level out my truck.

I don't think there is much you can do about it. :ughdance:

It's a price you have to pay in order to get the truck leveled out.

I think it makes my truck ride better, because before the front end

was real soft and the rearend was real stiff, now they are both stiff.

Agreed.

I'll be changing mine out to green keys this weekend as long as my pre-loading tool arrives and it doesn't rain. I believe they are indexed 10 degrees more than the purples (I think) that come on the HD's.
