Tuff Country and Full Traction and Rancho are the only kits I know of

I'd be interested to hear opinons.

I think I would like to get the 3" Skyjacker because of the easier installation

I would not lift 3 or 4 inches or more without lowering the diff on a GM IFS truck as it can bind and stress the CV joints and shorten the life as well. It take work to make it right and make it last.

Are most of the 4 and 5" lifts all bolt on stuff, and will it make the truck sit level once its lifted

I do not know of any lift's that do not have some cutting and welding. The 5" pro comp and the 4" rancho are about the same. They both drop the diff and lower control arms. Then use a new spindle to span the gap from the now lower LCA's to the stock location UCA's . I have the 6" pro comp it drops the upper control arms the same as the LCA's. My kit was a 6/5 kit 6" front 5" rear. To level the truck. I believe the 5" procomp is a 5/4" I am not sure on the rancho.

Rancho is supreme.

I love the Rancho people in here. I would go with the Rancho over any other lift period. It is just high quality, it just doesn't get alot of public notice because they do not make huge lifts like other company's.

cognito 4 inch... full 4 inch drop with adjustability to 6 inches, non torsion bar drop either which is VERY nice, also comes with pitman idler arm braces, imo the best kit for an 8lug
