Front shocks w/ torsion bars?

I have a 2001 Sierra 2500 2-wheel drive with torsion bar front suspension. I'm having a hard time finding front shocks. Bilstein and KYB and others always have a blurb about "excluding torsion bar" for the application section. Are the front shocks that much different with the torsion bar than without?

 

I really wanted Bilsteins.

It's my understanding that all HD trucks have torsion bars in the front.

From what I've found on the Bilstein site, you need BE5-6081-H0 in the front.

I had no problem getting Bilstein HD's on my 1500 Tahoe and it has T-Bars. Can't imagine why there is a problem.

Bilsteins site shows applications and I don't see anythign listed about torsion bars.

It says excluding Quadrasteer, then it says torsion bar front. It isn't saying excluding torsion bar front.

 

BTW, they are the same as the 4x4 2500 shocks.

I got up with Bilstein today and they said the .pdf application chart was misleading. The exclusion is for the quadsteer. The shock I need is for torsion fronts only which is what Bilstein means in the description.

 

Thanks guys for your help! I ordered the shocks and look forward to putting them on.
