a friend of mine has this problem. (quote)Has anyone had any trouble with the allison transmission leaking. My dealer in town has said they can't even work on the transmission because they don't have the tools. I am going to have to go to another dealer outside town and see if they can work on it. The problem exist with the 8.1 but it is new to me for the 6.6. They say that the problem is with loose bolts between the torque converter and the fly wheel. just wondering if anyone had this problem and possible solutions. thanks

  Is there any truth to the below: 2026 Silverado owners found a reliability top priority: the 8th VIN digit "E" confirms the 5.3L V8 lacks DFM hardware. This factory delete solves the notorious lifter failure issue plaguing Chevy trucks since 2019? Can anyone tell which trim are these trucks and where can I find a new 2026 with this fix?

  Hello fellow GM truck owners. I bought my 2014 Silverado crew cab Z71 brand new and still own it over twelve years later. This is just a quick survey for anyone who owns one of these trucks to see who plans on realistically keeping it until it literally fails or dies. Or is there a desire to look at the fifth gen Silverado/Sierra? Let me know in the comments. Thanx guys...

  I am having similar issues.. 08, 4.8L granted I did had a fender bender and minor damage up front passenger side but I don’t think it had anything to do with it.. I had the high and low pressure checked and my fan for my radiator keeps coming on.. replaced the pressure switch and don’t want to keep throwing parts at it. I did have some minor problems here and there like on long road trips sometimes the ac would get a little warm and then on the highway as soon as I give it a little gas or get a little heavier on the petal it started running cooler. Never had an issue with the ac besides the here and there.. but I also started having issues when I fuel up now it takes a bit to start ( super embarrassing) it runs fine and once started ( only happens after fueling up) starts fine any other time. Could they be related?
