electric fan swap

im lookin to swap out my engine driven fan on my 98 sierra with a 5.7 liter. i hear around town its possible to get an electric fan off another vehicle from a salvage yard and swap it out. is it though???

run a searh for LS1 fan or electric fan or something like that on these fourms and youll find a good many posts im sure. but yes it is possible
