green keys and Rancho RS-5296

I need new shocks for the front on my 00 GMC 2500 4wd NBS. I was thinking about adding green keys at the same time and then getting an alignment done. I did a search and read that the rancho rs-5296 shocks are longer that the rs-5288 which should be used with the green keys. Does anyone have any longer term input to give me with the green keys and 5296?

Not a hijack, but I have been wondering this for some time now. Wheel travel has not changed, the front suspension is traveling the same distance, it is just starting out a little lower, (lower A ar at least). So why would longer shocks be needed? I cranked mine to level, have Reflexes, and have noticed no bottoming out.

i took some measurements off my frame and side to side its the same height. I like the height of the truck the way it is. the only reason i was going to switch to the green keys is because when i got the truck it was sitting on the bump stops. So i cranked the torsion bars up until it lifted off the bump stops about 1 inch. this made the truck almost level. Its still a little higher in the rear but this is how i want it. The problem is the driver side bolt is bottumed out. I need new shocks because the passanger side rubber eye hole is almost gone and there is play in the shock right were it mounts. Should i just get the stock replacements or do the green keys and the longer shocks? If i get the stock replacement shocks and change the to green keys later i shouldn't have a problem that i can see. but i hate to spend money twice on the same thing. Does anyone have any input?
