engine stumble / no power

I just got back from a trip, ran fine except for two occurances that the engine had no power and stumbled as if about to die. Each happend after a long stretch of driving and in very high heat 95 - 118 deg air temp. I did have the air intake opened up by having the lidd off the air box. (all air still filtered) I am wondering if the high temps under the hood could be to blame. or iff I was having a fuel problem. Occured before and after the last fill up.

Help!!!

Replaced the fuel pump. Scored one on Ebay for 115 plus shipping. Installed and running great. In fact, it seem to have more power now than before it died.

BTW.. replacing a fuel pump in a 44 gal tank that is half full is not fun.

Your lucky, they usually go out when you just fill it all the way up. I'd change the fuel filter why you are at it.
