Lowering 99 Silverado. Wrecked and needs new leaf

The truck was hit on the right rear wheel. The leafs were damaged and need to be replaced etc. How should I drop the truck? I have 17" KMC Venoms on it. What size drop would look right on it? 3 5? 4 6? If I do a bag drop do I even need leaf springs? I wouldnt have to pay to replace them if so. What do you guys recomend?

After some reading it appears that www.mcgaughys.com is the best for my truck. I guess I want to go 2 4 as it appears anything more than that requires notching etc. What is the best place to buy from and whats the difference b/w the two 2 4 kits they sell? they both use spindles.

You should consider a 4-link bagged kit. They are out there, but are pricey. The kit turns your old leaf setup into a 4 link and are much better. That is if money isn't a issue
