Front Wheel Bearing?

Hello everyone. I have a roaring noise devolping in the front end it and I am starting to think it might be a front wheel bearing. Truck has 63000 miles on it.

 

I was wondering what would be the best way to check the front wheel bearings? It seams like the noise gets louder when I turn the wheel one way or the other.

2WD or 4X4? I usually jack up the vehicle take off the tire and rotate the hub by hand, listen for noise. Also you can check, if it is really bad, to see if there is some play in the hub.

As said, jack it up and check for play, I got just over 65000 on mine when they both went, I've heard of many others with the same milage having the same problem. Oh yeah you can't replace the bearings, you get to replace the entire hub.
