I really hope this happens. I love my GTO, the build quality and interior are outstanding, their new cars look even better. As far as I am concerned, I wish they'd just start selling Holdens straight up here in the US. Anyways:

Holden Concept

 

AWD, V8, luxury...umm Audi what? I live in Colorado and AWD is the greatest thing since sliced bread to the people around here. Not sure if it as big of a hit in the rest of the US. But, stuff like the Mitsubishi EVO and Subaru STi are huge hits with younger car nuts. So why not hit back and start taking over markets created by overseas car makers?

 

Holden seems to touch on a lot of past glory of US car markers while covering new trends. A lot of what Holden has I think could cure market woes in the US. Just switch the drivers side and you have the engineering done.

 

Even Australian Ford has it right. Check these out:

328 HP, I-6 Turbo or a 362 HP from the turbo-charged and intercooled 4.0 litre six-cylinder. WTH are the engines like that over here?

I think GM needs to put the Holden people in charge for a while. They are building some kick ass looking cars!

 

I wonder if emission laws are why we are not getting the engines over there.
