hey all any comments are greatfully accepted. here we go i have a 2004 chevy silverado as the name states it has a bully dog handheld tuner, straight pipes a little ways after the cats and a drop in k and n filter. a little about my truck in stock specs. i have an extended cab z-71 4x4 3.73 gears and a topper which i wouldnt have on during this time. anyways what do you think i would run i have it in hi perofrmance mode and really noticed a change. im wondering what the best way to launch is without using 4 wheel drive (feathering the pedal) i raced a bmw 328is but he never pulled on me except at the launch while i was spinning i was pretty impressed as the 0-60 on that car is 6.8 and we went to 110. any thoughts on times i would run or ways to launch would be great im thinking about taking it to the track and i also need to be able to beat a '67 mustang  let me know

im just not sure because i saw one guy with a crew cab and 3.42s run a 15.4 with a superchips handheld tuner. also what about sandbags if im just doing a street race im sure at tracks they wouldnt allow it

Depends on the Ram. You would probobly be close with a big 4 door 4x4 hemi ram. But a reg cab short bed 2wd hemi would take you out for lunch. Titans are controversial. Some people act like their the fastest trucks on the d**n road, others say they have beat them. I think someone on here ran against one at the strip with a truck like yours and beat it, I think they ran mid 15's.

I wouldnt worry about sand bags, thats just added weight. Traction shouldnt be bad. Just make sure your tires and the road are dry. I can mash it from a stop and aslong as my tires and the road are dry I get pretty good traction. If my tires are wet at all they'll roast from a stop, and spin for a second when it shifts from 1st to 2nd.

Yeah schmit ive heard the same about those d**n nissans at the auto park here one of the guys next door work at nissan and say there trucks are faster then our chevys. Honestly i wouldnt mess with one with out the bottle on cuz there deffently lighter but then agin i think nissan should stick to the minis.

As for the hemis ive never had one bother with me before those dodge boys seem to not want to play. I did kick a 3500 cummins turbo desil though but thats a 10,000lb slead that wont get out of its own way unless a programmer or about 80 and rolling pretty good to beat my gas motor. Hell i beat one of them in my 4.8l 5spd agin i got the jump on him but at about 80 he got realy big in my side veiw mirrow

That's funny sh|t. Diesels... My wife has an '05 grand am gt that is a quick little sob and she beats me every time off the line and I can never catch her in time. Well she went up against this big ass superduty ford right she thought it would be her easiest kill ever. Little did she know this thing was packing like God only knows what in torque after a tune. She scorched him off the line but all the sudden at 60-70mph she looks to her side and sees him FRIEGHT TRAIN by her. She still is disbelief over that ever after I explained to her about how easy it is to modify those things.

I want a shot at one, and a reg cab hemi. I cant seem to get into any races lately. Some primered turd of a Civic EX ricer edition pulled up next to me on the highway a few days ago. I mashed it for a second so it dropped into 2nd, so he'd get the idea, and he wouldn't go. It was a young kid too, probobly still in high school. Those are the easiest to lure

The fastest hemi's i have seen at the track ran a 14.9. I think it had some exhaust mods, unsure if anything else. The Titans are quick too, but i have never seen a stock one in the 14's. If i was you i would launch all day long in 4hi (not auto 4WD), you will never hurt that transfer case. It can withstand 5 times the torque your tranny or rear can. I launch my 7000lb truck in 4hi all the time (as long as its a straight line). If anything, it saves some wear on your rear by picking up some of the abuse that would otherwise be delivered only to the rear.

after reading i think i could take the crew cab version of the ram and crew cab of the titan. i think the titan would be tougher im not sure why. but im still not sure about those ext. cab models. im almost positive i would loose to a rumble bee those are reg. cab trucks to.
