Picked Out My Tonneau

Recommended Posts

I ordered my tonneau cover last night and was wondering if anybody has used or seen the Berlin Tonneau Covers? Its a hinged cover that will break down like a typical roll up cover if I need to haul something big. I ordered in Dark grey to match my flares and bed rails. The only thing I am not sure about are the snaps. I have had snaps before and they always leave streak on the side of the truck. Apparently they are Stainless steel snaps though now so it should not streak they claim. The nicest thing I see is that they back rail is spring loaded. The springs keep the cover tight but also allow for give when you need to re-snap in the winter.

I picked it up for $226 shipped to the house so the price was right.

I ordered it from Truck USA. They are built in Berlin, Ohio and my guess is they are amish built as there is no website for the company and that is the heart of Amish country. We will find out. Several places sell them so they are not necessarily fly by night. I just love being the guinea pig  on these things. I will get some pictures and give you a run down once it arrives on Monday or Tuesday. They custom build each order apparently so it takes a couple of days to get them. Jay

No Pics yet but the cover arrived today. I paid for it yesterday morning! Thats some serious turnaround. They tell you to assemble the cover off the truck so I opened it up and put her together on the living room floor. (My wife will be thrilled) I had ACL replacement last Friday so I did this all on my butt scooting around putting it together.

The frame itself went right together! The cover snapped on perfectly with no snaps out of place. The spring system on it is simple but effective. The side rails each have a spring that maintains pressure on the rear rail forcing the cover tight. I am going to need help getting it on the truck and I will take pictures once its mounted and ready to go. I was nervous about getting a color other then black but I believe its going to match the bed rails and flares perfectly.
