Changing Transmission Cooler

I was installing an AEM Brute Force CAI on my 07 HD when I noticed the size of the tranny cooler. It sure seems puny considering that I am pulling a 10,000 pound trailer. The tranny does not get dangerously hot, but on a longer up hill jaunt it does get pretty warm

 

I am thinking that a bigger tranny cooler might be the ticket. Has anyone change this? Any specific model that fits well? Any help would sure be appreciated.

 

BTW, the CAI system does NOTHING for performance of mpg...same as the Flowmaster muffler....both sound cool and look neat, but don't believe the hype...ugh!!

Just do a search for "Tranny Cooler" or "Trans Cooler". You will come up with plenty to read on the subject. I kept my stock one in and added one from Tru-Cool. I believe it was 11x11 or something like that. Living in Florida and towing boats down the road, the tranny can get pretty hot. I used to run around 200-205 on 90+ degree days. Now I sit between 150-160 all the time. During the winter months its around 120-130 but that is with lows in the high 30's. Good luck.
