Silverado 60/40 Center Seat Back

How do you remove the center seat back (console) on a 60/40 bench seat.

I tried to remove the seat back so it would be easier to try to rig some hinges, but after the side bolts were removed it still would not slide out

My lid broke at the hinges for the 2nd time. 1st time replaced under warranty.

Also, is it possible to change out only the lid on the seat back?

Thanks,

Can any one please give instructions on how to remove this lid. I really need to get it changed out.

Here is a pic of the broken lid:

Notice the bolt(s) on the side. I removed each bolt, but still could not remove the lid.

Thanks in advance!

This is the front folding center "jump seat" of a 2003 Siverado with the 60/40 bench seat. The back (console) of the "jump seat" folds down to make an arm rest. The lid of the seat back has the hinges broken, therefore the only thing holding the lid on is the latch.

I want to remove the seat back and replace the lid, if possible. However, I have removed both bolts from the side. but the back still will not come out. I assume there is some kind of trick to it.

If the lid can not be replaced, maybe I can "rig" some hinges. if I have it out of the truck.

See picture

Open the armrest and pull the panel off. You should be able to slide the hinge pin out. This takes the back off. Try this and post a pic please (I've never had that hinge break and would like to see what happened) and I can look at a parts breakdown and let you know if something can be fixed or if you need the whole assembly.
