Non Vortec To Vortec Swap

I blew up my 1995 engine this morning. This past summer i put on vortec heads with the Edelbrock performer intake, adapter plate and my old TBI. It was working pretty well other than i small lag issue that i was about to deal with by getting a chip. Now since it blew, i am able to get a 2000 V8 Vortec from a wreck or another plain 350. I'm wondering how hard it would be to put in the vortec engine since the HP is much more than the non vortec. Any help would be great, cause im stumped !

I would go for the vortec, but you will need it's complete wiring harness, and PCM. Should bolt up to the tranny, but you might want to grab a 4l60e while your at it to make sure the swap goes without a hitch.

you can get an intake to use all your current stuff and the newer vortec 5.7. the rpm ranges are different so it might drive a little funny unless you get some computer work done. my 96 5.7 shifted like 5200-5500, my brothers TBI 5.7 shifts 4200-4400rpm
