This is my first post, I have been a long time browser though. My question is can some one find me the invoice price for a 2008 Tahoe? The VIN# is 1GNFC13068R182756. Thanks to anyone that can help me out. I want to go the dealer very prepared.

Well personally I think its a good deal,But I think a lot of the guys will disagree with me.

It won't hurt to ask for lower than invoice,The worst they can say is "no".

From my recent dealings with GMC salesmen (about eleven in four states), they haven't been willing to go below invoice unless you are considering another vehicle on a different lot (ie. dealer trade) and they have a vehicle on their lot that has too many of the features you don't want. For example, the salesman was willing to deduct the price of the rear entertainment system from invoice and offered that price.

If you seek a price below invoice and get the "We have to make a profit" or "My family has to eat" type of reply, you could mention the 3% based on MSRP holdback money that is in the mix -- but don't expect to negotiate on any of that money.

Invoice is fine. I just bought my 08 Sierra two weeks ago for 1000 under invoice and no doc fees. Did have to pay TTL. I had good success end of the month. I did everything over the phone and through e-mail. I talked to ten and had three aggressively pusue me. They would give me the best price. Everytime they would call I would tell them someone beat them. They would then drop 300 under the other guy. I ran out of time at 1000 under invoice. It was a pain, but it was the most money I ever made per hour.
