We have been getting a calibration update for the BCM. I am uncertain if it is available for the 2008's as I have not checked for a few weeks, but I expect it should be soon.

Sorry, newbie here and I'm just looking at bringing an 06 or 07 2500 up to Canada.

Does this mean that we will be able to just take the truck to a dealer and get a re-flash to enable the DRL? Am I best to get this done at a US dealership or should I talk to someone here?

Thanks for any help!

Yes. All the dealer need to do is recalibrate the BCM for Canadian option. This should be done at a Canadian dealer. There is a $75 fee for the calibration to be attached to the truck and then whatever the dealer charges for the re-flash. usually .4 hrs, so depending on the rates where you are at $120-$140 ish.

When did they disable the DRL's?

They are enables, but they can be turned off by turning the headlamp switch back. Canadian laws state that the light must be on when the truck is in gear and cannot be turned off.
