Volant Powercore Air Intake

I received my volant air intake kit with the powercore filter today. This thing is a f#cking bitch to install: all the plastic comes coated in armor all type stuff so it's very slippery, the instructions suck, mine didn't come with the proper vacuum tube hose or connector so I had to go lowe's and make my own, the four holes that bolt where the stock housing bolt to didn't line up so I had to drill them out, the washers that come with the bolts are too large to fit in one of the housing's corners bc it isn't shaped correctly, the massive powercore filter has to be tightened down inside of the housing yet there is a 1'' lip around the whole thing that makes it take forever to fully tighten, you have to use your factory filter box grommet that has rubber flanges that I had to cut off to make it fit, and just the overall fit of everything was not high quality at all and I would expect something that costs $450+ dollars to literally fall into place and fit everywhere perfectly. On the other hand once I finished I timed my 0-60mph again and it went from 11.5 seconds to 10.5 seconds.

The powercore must be different that the regular one because I had no issues at all. It bolted right up except for one hole in the bottom. That was only off by a few mm and was an easy fix. It took longer to unbolt the stock one than it did to install the new one. Even the regular filter sucks to tighten down because of that lip though.
