2005 Yukon...how To Get Rid Of "chime"

It's the same wire for an 05 Yukon but I'm not sure if it will do anything else. The circuit is described as key in ignition circuit so it should only disable the chime and allow the doors to be locked with the key in, try not to lock your keys in it.

On many of the newer radios ('03 and up GMT800), while the door is opened and the chime is dinging, press the 6th preset (furthest to the right) one time, then press again and hold. After a few seconds, the door chime stops. Then listen away without the ding ding. you must repeat the process each time you open the door and wish to listen to the radio.

 

This is an unadvertised feature. The only reason you must press the preset button the first time is so you don't accidentally overwrite the #6 preset channel. It works on mine. The only strange thing is that I occasionally have to try it a couple times to get the chime to stop, but 99% of the time, it works the first try.
