Stabilitrak & Service 4x4 Error Messages

Hi, my new 2009 5.3L sierra with only 3,000 miles is intermittently having service 4x4 and stabilitrak off messages on the DIC, along with the stabilitrak icon lit up. The error messages are almost immediately gone after it comes on. My door locks also cycles when this happens. I brought over the truck to a GMC dealer and they say that the stabilitrak "lost communication" with the body control module or computer, and they will do a "reboot" or reload of the software on Monday. He says this is the first time he heard it happen and could be due to "heat." Does anyone know if this is a known issue or have similar experiences and fix?

 

btw, truck is all stock, no mods.

Update: GMC service tech determined it is a faulty BCM (body control module) computer and has replaced it. So far so good. Knock on wood.
