Gas Mileage

Just returned from a trip to VA from CT and back.. Got 20.7mpg on my 2008 Silverado ext cab Z71. On one fill up the mileage was 19.8 but I was on back roads and in the mountains. On the highway I drove just a few miles over the speed limit and used cruise control.

 

I had a 99 Silverado and the best I ever got with that was 18.5mpg.

On a road trip I took last Saturday, I got 19.0 MPG in my '01 Silverado with 4.8 and almost 300,000 miles. That is figuring by hand not by DIC, at 67 MPH. These trucks do a lot better than many would believe
