  1. I thought I read the column shifter was still electronic but a column shifter was used to appease the average buyer.
  2. I have the Cooper Stronghold on my 2020 Ram 2500 company truck and yes, they are louder even when new. And louder than the Cooper Discoverer AT3 that was on it before. I did get 65k out of them and probably could have easily gone another 8k but they started getting loud at about 40k and the noise continued to increase. My '21 D'Max is about ready for a set and will probably go with Michelin tires. I've never been disappointed with a set of Michelins.
  3. Not your issue but I have a good one. I had a 2001 Silverado that developed a sporadic flutter at speeds above 60mph. It really annoyed me (because I couldn't find the cause) but it drove my wife crazy. Which in turn aggravated me even more. One day while driving I leaned forward to find the source and noticed it was the rubber cover over the hood hinges under the cowl panel. I guess the bug deflector on the hood contaminated the air flow. I replaced the rubber with a heavier piece and solved the issue.
  4. You did good. I had one that was smaller but was driving me crazy. Fortunately, I know a PDR man that fixed mine.
  5. I usually keep a tender on my vehicles and get 5-8+ years on them. Last several I bought the Duracell batteries at Sams and so far so good. FWIW, I had a Harley and got 11 years out of the battery, always on a tender when she was put up for the night.
  6. This is handy as well. Sometimes the 20" height is much. but works great if you have a vehicle on on jack stands and wrenching simultaneously from topside and underneath.
  7. My company truck is a RAM Tradesman 2500 and has the feature to activate the tailgate camera on demand and I wondered if my 2500HD has this feature but haven't checked.
  8. My company truck (RAM 2500) came new with Firestone Transforce tires and they were okay at first but after about 20k the traction declined, especially on wet roads. Because it was a company truck I had to run them and ended up getting 60k out of them and I really despised them the last 35k. I had a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 and they were good but started getting loud at about 50k. I got 60k out of them. Now I have Cooper Stronghold AT and I like the AT3's better as the Stronghold's are louder than the AT3's. It's about time to put some on my Duramax and likely go with the Michelin Defender.
  9. I have been a Michelin fan for years and when it was time to replace the OEM Bridgestone Duelers some years back on my Escalade I put the Defender LTX on it and man was I immediately impressed with the great ride, handling, and further impressed with the durability and wear. My '21 Duramax is about ready for new tires and I'm seriously thinking about going with the LTX2. It currently has the OEM Wranglers and I really can't complain about them.
  10. My employer must be buying them all up. Most of out fleet was Ford and RAM, now as they are being replaced they are distributing the 1500, 2500, and 3500 dually Silverado's.
  11. I heard a coworker tell another once "That's nice, that's what I'd buy if I didn't have any money". As far as RAMS, I think it boils down to affordability. many people look at their trucks as disposable so go with the lower priced trucks. FWIW, I've had a '20 2500 RAM company truck since it was new. I've only had several issues so it's been a good truck. Had a company provided F250 for a period and it was good but I didn't like the seat comfort. I would definitely prefer my Duramax over either of the two.
  12. I've had a extended cab (now dubbed a double cab) and have had 2 crew cabs since. My current '21 Duramax has the 10 speed and it's just me and the wife 95% of the time and I would never go back. Plus, IMO the resale value on a crew cab is going to be better due to demand and popularity.
  13. I've used HF liner for that and multiple other things.
  14. I like the seats in my '21 and prefer the firmness. I drove a Super-Duty about 6k miles on a trip several years ago and it was not comfortable. I ended up buying and using a foam stadium seat to make it somewhat bearable while on that trip.
