  1. The console kit comes with a harness. It is designed to plug into the IP harness behind where the ash tray would be. The plug in for the jump seat/short console plugs in below the seat. So clearly some rewiring would be necessary. The IP harnesses are different part numbers so it is unlikely that there is a plugin behind the IP if no full console is factory installed. I plan on adding a console to mine in a few weeks so I'll find out how all of this will work. I think all plugs could work except for some USB plugs. Cannot simply splice USB wire I don't think. USB with console has 2 separate plugins at the K74 Human Machine Interface Control Module.
  2. Just ordered a Range V8. "2014BETATESTER" discount still works. Thanks anthony2258.
  3. As scared as GM is at this point, If they there were 1 more truck that needed to be recalled, they would do that. As far as checking your own tie rods, it' really not that easy. The problem is inner tie rod end at the rack. Under the boot.
  4. Unless you can see it without crawling under the truck, I fail to see an issue. I raise GM trucks of all ages everyday. They all have rust on the frames, differentials, drive shafts etc. Never seen one rust through and I'm in salt country. To me its just cosmetic.
  5. Mine has been bolted open for a couple thousand miles. Still vibrates.
  6. The panels are available in black and cocca. The plate has about 10 choices, depending on color and options. The part number listed above ( 22995085 ) is "Reverse Tartan" what ever color that is. The panels listed above are black.
  7. Nope. Will have to run a wire from interior. RAP only runs accessories. Sunroof, rear slider, outlets and a few more things depending on options.
  8. Looks like all of the RAP powered devices are inside. Sorry.
  9. So here is what I have so far. The junction block is referred to "junction block X61a" in GM speak. It is used for upfitter applications. Connector number is 13924036 but probably is the plastic part only, no leads. Here are the terminals. 1 - 6 not occupied 7 Battery Positive Voltage 8 Accessory Voltage 9 Low Speed GMLAN Serial Data 10 Ground 11 Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage 12 - 16 not occupied 17 Battery Positive Voltage 18 not occupied 19 Vehicle Speed Signal 20 not occupied I'll keep digging for the terminal numbers. FYI here is a link for upfitters and others. Tons of info. http://www.gmupfitter.com/files/media/photo/474/2014%20BBM%20Electrical%20section_10_18_2013_WIP.pdf
  10. You could but would need to find a way to seal the transfer case output shaft.
  11. Does anybody have the GM 4' round chrome running boards? pic's would be nice
  12. Did you have any noise associated with the vibration?
  13. Easier said than done. I've driven over a dozen while trying to find a doner vehicle. No luck.
  14. Well, I might as well chime in here. Finally. I too have a '14 Silverado (double cab 5.3 LT 3.42 18' Goodyear Wrangler SR-A ) with vibrations/shakes. I want to love this truck. It could be so nice but for the vibrations. Been watching this thread for almost 3 months but held off while trying to resolve the issue. As far as the "vibration meters" go, every dealer is supposed to have one or was sent one at one time. There is a newer, better one out but not many dealers have it.They are as much witchcraft as science. Having said that, they are not useless though. All that they do is give the tech a frequency and an intensity reading. At no time do they indicate an exact part. It may read "tire 1 or prop 1" or other such things. Tire 1 could be tire, wheel, rotor, drum, axle or any thing spinning at that speed based on the frequency and some math (engine speed, vehicle speed, tire size, gear ratio). So as you can see, it becomes quite involved. A call to TAC is usually required but may have to go higher. After a balance/road force, its up to TAC to lead the way from there. Mine has had 3 road force balances, 2 tires, rear drive shaft sent out and checked, rotors (all) checked for balance. and the dreaded hose clamps on the rear drive shaft. So far very little help. Vibration mostly 40 -50 mph also 65 to 70. Now working with a field engineer but based on our discussion, I'm not holding out a lot of hope. I'll keep trying for a while (2 weeks since talked to field engineer, supposed to be calling/ coming back). Being a tech and customer I don't they can be completely forth coming with me. Good luck to all you vibrators out there. I'll post when I know more.
  15. Push home/settings/radio/manage favorites and delete away. There should be an Intelilink/Mylink for dummies book. The manual doesn't come close to explaining all functions.
  16. Excellent write up scphilli! I've had videos playing on mine for a while. Completely different process though. More than one way to skin a cat.
  17. Speaking of vibrations, check out the 2015 Tahoe, Suburban and GMC cousins. The slip joint I shaft has been replaced with a good old rag joint!! FINALLY.
  18. Hey gdadlow, is yours a 5.3 0r 6.2
  19. Any chance you've got part numbers for the parts they installed?
  20. TAC =Technical Assistance Center. GM service centers ( primarily dealers) resource . And yes those are TAC case numbers.
  21. Have worked in dealers for 31 years. Never have checked for a "tune". Although it is always a possibility. Diesel is a different story though.
