  2. Per GM service manual, seat bolts do not require replacement. Should have the old loctite removed and reapplied, however, if it makes you feel more comfortable, by all means replace them. They are not "torque to yield" bolts. Torque to yield bolts should always be replaced. FYI, torque is 33lb ft.
  3. Key on, engine off, scanner should be around 1.5v. for fuel tank pressure sensor.
  4. 2 wire? Doesn't matter. 3 wire it does.
  5. Fuse #26 driver side ip fuse block. Labeled peps/hvac. Alternate Method (without Scan Tool) Note: Do not operate any HVAC controls while the HVAC control module is calibrating as this may interrupt the process. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result. Ignition OFF/ Vehicle OFF. Remove the HVAC control module fuse for a minimum of 10 s. Install the HVAC control module fuse. Start the vehicle. Wait 40 s for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.

  11. Depends what you mean by affordable. I would get a Tech 2. They run in the $250-300 range last I looked.
  12. Yea it would but don't be under the illusion that it will magically tell you what is wrong. It takes the tool, knowledge of how to use the tool, and probably a diagnostic tree. Maybe you can handle it, I don't know.
  13. My second shot was uneventful as was the first. Wife's second shot was pretty much identical to Grump's wife's experience.
  14. Again, these codes are o2 sensor heater codes only. Nothing to do with fuel trims or convertors. Strictly an electrical issue. Edit. P0154 is not a heater issue. The other 3 are. DTC P0154 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 2 Sensor 1 DTC P0050 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1 DTC P0059 HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 2 Sensor 1 DTC P0155 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1 Without a p0430 code I'm not buying the bad convertor diag. If it were me, I would go after the 3 heater codes and see if I find a related issue with the P0154 code. Not sure if it still holds true but it had been true that you always start with the lowest code first. The only way I see a convertor causing an oxy sensor code (P0154) would be a plugged convertor. Not likely given their age.

  16. It is mounted above the spare tire. There may be two modules stacked on top of each other, depending on options.

  18. They pretty much all have the harness from what I remember.
  19. Made one out of a 2x2 and a 6" strip of 1/4" plywood. Works fine. Have to rip the 2x2 down to fit and bevel the plywood.
  20. C0800 is a voltage/ground issue. Good chance it is a cable issue.
  21. These 3 codes can only be caused by a bad sensor, wiring or ECM. You or someone needs to do a deep dive diagnostic. Whether or not they cause a rough run condition is another question.
  22. Seems to me they charged 1.0hr diag. $139.00. Roughly $800 was spent on oil pressure sensor replacement, trans flush and wiring repair. P0050, P0059, P0155 are all bank 2, sensor 1 heater codes. Shouldn't cause a drivability problem especially on a warm engine. Cats could not cause these codes. Pull the passenger side oxygen sensor in or near the manifold. Is it soot covered? possibly a leaky injector ( internal ). Here is a schematic for oxy sensors if it helps.
