  1. I've made several longer posts about this problem I had on a 2007 I had. So I will keep it short for now. I cannot stress enough how important it is to watch out for mold after having this leak issue. You may or not ever smell anything but you or even more important a child that is sensitive to such could become very sick. I'm an Asthmatic and this nearly put me six feet under. Not a joke! GM had to rip out and replace a LOT of my interior due to black mold.
  2. 'Fixin to make a run to the beer store. Two more miles and I will turn over 20,000 miles. Not too bad for a 2014. Maybe I won't get reamed too bad when I trade it in on the 2019's when they come out. Yeah right. lol I'm just a sucker for that new truck smell. Let see... I had a '96,'99,'03,two '07's a classic and new body style, a '12 and now I'm on my third 2014. First two were lemons. Hey... I didn't say I was the most frugal guy with my money. I just like new trucks. ?
  3. Yeah, I am shure that 91/93 will fix your problem. Let us know how it turns out. And if all is well then it will be time to get a Blackbear tune to unleash the potential of that 6.2
  4. That is called detonation. It is BAD. The 6.2 is a 11.5 to 1 compression engine. Anything but premium fuel is asking fo trouble. You seriously can't afford an extra few bucks every fill up? And you don't think your 50,000 dollar truck is worthy of 91/93 fuel? YOU FINE SIR DO NOT DESERVE THE HONOR OF OWNING A 6.2 !!!!! ?
  5. It just looks like you have the pedal to the metal. Haha
  6. If you do any work yourself the dealer will only use that against you if things go south. If under warranty let them handle it.
  7. Man those tires look good. How 'bout a review? Especially how do they ride? How bad is the "low speed, driving on cleats " feeling? What other tires would you compare them close to? Thanks in advance.
  8. I have the RC upper and lower spacers and if I had to do all over again I would just do bottom only. I've had ball joints creaking and making noise since the first week. I had two reputable 4x4 shops check out the install and everything was installed correctly. This is with aluminum control arms. With both spacers it's really stretching it. Also with both spacers @2.5 on the front only it looks nose high at times. But it is dead level.
  9. I just took off a set of LT285/65/18's and swapped for a set of LT 275/70's and that helped a little, plus the 285's were Nitto Trail Grapplers and they rode like shit. Felt like riding on tank tracks felt really heavy. Now I'm running Cooper AT3's and they feel like p rated tires. Plus they're a little narrower so there is less rolling resistance. And my lazy butt can still drive thru the auto car wash. These tires aren't as sexy as the Nittos but at least it doesn't sound like my dash is going to fall apart. My phone is playing dumb tonight and I can't post pics for some reason but you can go to my profile and check out a few post back. There should be some pics where I compared the two tires. Here are the pics of both tires for comparison Tire Fitment
  10. Sounds like a great plan.
  11. For those of you that moved to some aggressive heavy 33s like Toyos...what the hell did you do to remedy the loss in MPG? Lol i just cruised here in the delta (it's flat) at 45mph, was holding 17mpg. Compared to 20-24 with the stock tires. I'm thinking exhaust and tune to bring some power back. At the very least to remedy the throttle response issue. I thought the truck was somewhat sluggish with stock tires. Put these huge things on and it's very very noticeable. Well your mpg math will be off a little due to running a taller tire unless you recalibrate your speedo and hell if you adjust that you might as well go ahead and get a tune. That won't really help though because you won't be able to keep your foot out of it. As for throttle response, try driving in M5 or M7 if you have 8 speed unless you're on the interstate and use tow haul mode and the truck will feel better but that won't really help your mpg. You should see my mpg. I'm lucky to get 9 mpg right now because I just switched back to E85 plus I have a 2.5 level and removed the lower air dam/valence. Get yourself a Blackbear tune. You will kick yourself for not doing it on day one. Worth every penny. And if you buy an Autocal you can have a few different tunes. One for performance, one for fuel savings or whatever you like.
  12. Gibson and Stroker, well done gentleman. More tire less wheel That beats those 22's and rubber bands ANYDAY. ???
  13. That's one big ass blue truck. #cookiemonster
  14. I will try that. Thanks 17sierra.
  15. It's definitely coming from the front. One problem I did find is the bolts that came with the spacer kit were way too long and were barely hitting the front half shaft so I cut them down. I thought that remedied the problem until this morning. I'm just trying to figure out how the rain/fog is coming into play. Unfortunately I can't get down and really investigate myself due to recovering from complications post knee surgery. I hate the fact I'm going to have to take it to a legit 4x4 shop to check it out. It sucks having someone else wrench on it. Feels like I'm being cheated on.lol That's what I get for letting Tire Discounters do it when they did my tires. Probably just gonna have to put some Bilstien's on it but damn I'm gonna trade it in when the 18/19's come out anyway. It's probably something really simple but I feel stupid because it's not like it's something really complicated. I wonder if it has anything to do with the difference in the spacer block and aluminum control arms being two different materials? Or maybe ball joint but I only have a little over 16k easy miles on it and it's a 2014 so they should be in good shape. Thanks. Scott ?
  16. I get a "creaking" noise from my drivers side when turning into drive way or sitting still and turning the wheels. It's done this from day one after I had my RC 2.5 level. Mostly when it has been raining or foggy. Had the shop recheck and tighten everything twice. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance. Scott
  17. You are gonna' think you have a different truck after your tune. The TCM tune is worth the price alone. Be shure and have your idle RPM raised 100/150 for a little better throttle response. It really help mine plus it sounds better to me.
  18. Once vibrator always a vibrator. And now we're on page 708?
  19. I get around 14/15 in town, 18/20 highway. But I have a very aggressive tune with a lot of timing advance, 750 to 800 idle rpm, and a TCM tune that is kinda based on tow haul mode on steroids. This is on 93 octane. Now when I run E85 mileage drops to around 10mpg but let me tell ya', on a nice cool day my little 5.3 screams.
  20. I just put a set of Cooper AT3's on. They ride, feel, handle, and are just as quiet as p rated tires. I have 275/70/18's on stock wheels and a 2.5 level. Love the tires but kicking myself for not going bigger. I highly recommend you take a peek at 'em.
  21. That's a really conservative tire size.
  22. 14GMC14- thanks for the info. I'm about tired of the lifted 4x4 life and seriously going to look at flying a little closer to the ground when GM reveals the '18/'19s. I just pray they don't vibrate and really hoping for a different seat manufacturer. If not I may just keep and lower my current Z71 because there is nothing more fun than smoking a Ferd/Ram with a full power auto 4x4 launch ?.
  23. Love, love, love this truck. Need more details. I'm not having any luck searching for a build thread.(not at home and using my phone) Really digging the side exit exhaust. Oh yeah did I mention that I love this truck?
