  1. Looks great - Is that the White Diamond Tri-Coat?
  2. Today I just took a picture of it - with an awesome display. Happy Memorial Day!
  3. The G1WH . Could be a knock off but so far so good. Heck- how do you knock off a 1080p dash cam that's only $65 to begin with? - LMAO! Did you snake your wire all the way around your windshield? I'm thinking splice into something near the rear view mirror. Could power the radar det from there also.
  4. Where do they plugin for power? How are they linked?
  5. Got my dash cam installed, but I still need figure out how to remove the headliner glass storage console trim and find a circuit to tap off of to get rid of the hanging wire that's now plugged into a power port below. Wouldn't it be nice if one of those many power ports were installed up there to begin with?
  6. I would be nice to add some some speakers out by the tailgate somehow with a cab switch to turn them on and off. Maybe weatherproof Bose bookshelf speakers under the bed behind the rear bumper. :-))
  7. My truck on the upper dash to he left of the steering wheel there is a lever to pinch together to adjust the trailer brake I think. Might I need one of these also?
  8. Nice. Did you request it? Looks like it may be something I'm probably missing also. Where does it connect?
  9. If these trucks just ride like crap - I would know it by now. I've put almost 3K miles on it and it still rides as smooth as bees knees. I am friggin amazed at how smooth the ride is and couldn't be happier. And looking at that post above makes me happy for him that they finally found his problem. Pumkin problem for him. Sucks for him but fantastic that they fixed it. Fecal matter happens
  10. Do you think it could be modified/cut so it doesn't cover any of the stake holes? I want to mount some ham and cb antennas there. Also would work better for the occasional ladder rack usage. Nuts! Especially surprising considering the new built in bumper step you are supposed to use in conjunction wit the rear stake pocket as a handle - now covered by a stock Chevy tonneau cover. Go figure - GM geniuses. Leave it up to us to figure out how to make them work together....
  11. That's handy. OEM? They only come with the two - left and right, so you got more of the same and just tapped them in - one on each side? Were the mounts already there? BTW It looks like you got a boat hook similar t the one I just got to help grab those things that slide far away up front. ;-)
  12. I need: a hard folding tonneau 3 or 4 section that is secure as can reasonably be for locking stuff when parked on a city street waterproof doesn't cover my stake bed holes is easy/quick to remove and replace when need be allows the tailgate to open and shut without screwing with it. The G4 Elite looks like that may be my best/only answer, but even it looks like I would have to unbolt it up front and it looks heavy. I have the optional Chevy semi hard tonneau but the darn thing covers the bed stake holes! Stupid! And I have to crawl up in there to unscrew the knobs from the front attachments. And the rear attachments are a bit difficult to operate compared to a regular latch, plus I lock them to feel safer. PIA
  13. What should I expect to pay for a full set of manuals for the 2014 truck?
  14. All great advise much appreciated thanks! Trying not to gun it isn't easy in a new truck that flies but I know that the tires, brakes and everything else aren't inexpensive to replace either. Stock 20" AT tires are what $250? Skid plates came on the LTZ Z71 - it's one of the reasons I got it as opposed to the High Country (although I see now they are plastic!). Kinda hate to lower the back because it will sag when loaded up. But there are helper springs I've seen people here install that don't affect the height or the ride, so if I do both leveling and helper springs I'd be in better shape all around - slightly extra weight for that stuff but probably not much. Not keeping much in the back sept for a couple folding chairs, small tool box, fishing rod and golf clubs - LOL. And the occasional case of beer and a few stogies but hey... ;-)')
  15. Sorry - long thread and I probably may have missed something. Is there anything that should be done/you would do right away with my 5.3L to improve the MPG? CAI sounds like a waste and the dealer said an aftermarket tune immediately raises flags for warranty. Still I'm pissed that the speedo goes to 140 and the truck has a 99mph gov on it, not that that would help my mpg - LOL. Magnaflow exhaust? Headers? Would those still be what y'all recommend and having any luck with? FWIW I live in a 30MPH town and get crappy mileage here an in Boston, but on the clear highway 21-22mpg or better is no problem.
  16. Same here I really like the truck except for the radio and XM.
  17. Man seeing that really makes me want to go mobile! I didn't get the max tow pkg though so I'd probably have to do a lot to get er done
  18. BTW, the 2015's are already out, and if they have the same problem, it's already May 2014 (my truck is a 2014 - two months old) and someone at GM still doesn't know how to get HD FM radio and Sirius radios to work correctly? That seems pretty pathetic to me. Cut the crap GM. I would even consider paying for a replacement on my 2014 radio(s) if there was one that would work, just make it available please. I will be sure to tell everyone about the weak radios in my brand new 53K pickup truck if they don't step up to the plate soon with a real fix. This is a good place to start. And I will not be a guinea pig for their experiments behind the dashboard of my new truck either. I'll wait for a real proven fix for my 2014, and it better happen soon.
  19. Installed the driver's side assist handle today. Great easy accessory add on.
  20. Where were they built? It would be interesting if the ones at issue all came from the same plant. I don't think they are all made at the same plant but I could be wrong.
  21. I tinted to 35% at the recommendation of the tint shop he said because unless you have connections they will fail you at your annual inspection, or you can get a ticket and have to remove it if you try to add deeper tint. MY factory tint in the back is 20%. Closing the roof shade helps a lot
  22. I assume they were picking up the bar all the time. Another great idea! Are those the original ones on the bumper behind the fog lights on the bar and you just disconnected them and reconnected the feed wires to a new set? I want to add a camera there so I can see how close I can get to something before hitting it
  23. Your dash cam story convinced me to order one. Now I think I should get 3 more for the rear and two sides! There is probably a good/better solution somewhere out there for that too
  24. But how does it work? Have you noticed any improvement?
