  1. Installed the Bed Mat Friday, and the Tonneau Pro cover last night. Plan on getting a topper next year, so the Tonneau was just a cheap option to keep snow out of the bed this winter.
  2. The 6.2 in the Denali has DFM. It can shut down as many as 6-7 cylinders. And GM removed the indicator.
  3. I'm assuming you are talking about when the truck is off. To keep the radio on you need to put the key in accessory.
  4. The DIC uses injector flow rates to calculate.
  5. A write up on how to do this and what parts are needed would be nice.
  6. Ken likes to hide in the scientific side of things. The place where there's perfect conditions for optimal results. Not the real world. There's no sense in arguing with him. Just agree like you would when you aging grandfather tells you the same story he's told you everytime you see him. My 2017 High Country (using this truck because it was the only truck I did nothing to but deactivate AFM) got and average of 20mpg for the first 22k km. Then I disabled AFM and for the following 20k km it got an average of 20mpg. Were the conditions the exact same over the 22k km and 20k km, no. But my driving habits stayed the same. And they were both a fairly long "test" for averaging. During both the truck saw, highway travel, stop and go, mixed driving, winter, and summer blend fuels, windy days, not so windy days, tow, not tow, you get the picture. Real world conditions and settings, and the AFM didn't make a lick of difference on any of the trucks.
  7. I'm betting that has more to do with your driving habits then AFM. My 14, and 17 saw no MPG difference after AFM was disabled. And my 18 actually saw a slight increase, likely due to the lowering kit. All hand calculated over the coarse of ownership. You might not be having a problem with your truck, but there are plenty out there that are having and have had problems. Is it the mass majority, no. Is it enough to cause alarm, yes. This also isn't a GM thing, it's cylinder deactivation technology in general, Dodge/Fiat has the same problem. The way I see it, it's planned obsolescence under the guise of Fuel Economy.
  8. Sorry it was early in the morning and I read that wrong. Thought you were looking for the switch. The hazard flasher is right at the bottom of the dash around the steering column on the 88-94 trucks. The fuse box Brian is referring to houses the turn signal flasher.
  9. They have come along way, now they are just on par with every other manufacturer. In the 50k km I had my 2019 Optima, it lost power steering, killed two batteries (Kia swore up and down there wasn't a power draw somewhere), the Pano roof stopped working twice, and there was a TSB to have a sensor reprogrammed to detect excessive engine vibration because they still haven't fixed a problem the 2.4 has had since 2011. The car was nice, but far from the most reliable car I've had.
  10. Underside of the column. Push the centre in to activate and pull the collar out to deactivate.
  11. Found a slight problem with mine this morning. It's the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, so I have to wait till Tuesday to have it addressed. I didn't notice it at all when I test drove it or picked it up. But it appears someone at the dealer or assembly plant had no ****s left the day they put my license plate bracket on. If the holes are exposed when they put it in the right spot, they'll be replacing the valance as well.
  12. The Range website says it's currently not compatible with 2019+ 6.2L with the 10 speed. Has this changed?
  13. Those of you with aftermarket exhaust and DFM, does it sound any different when DFM kicks in? Anything like AFM of the older trucks, with a helicopter/choppy sound? My understanding is DFM can't be deactivated currently.
  14. Has the truck been tuned for the new tire size?
  15. Definitely the word Ken Still nobody cares...
  16. You really are just a lonely old man that has to have an opinion on everything aren't you. I'm going to start calling you Ken from now on. So headers only net you 15hp for $1500, and? They are often a supporting mod that work well other performance upgrades. Sometimes cheaper mods, sometimes more expensive mods. Rarely are guys putting headers on with out a tune or an upgrade to the induction system, usually its done after those as it's the next step in the chase for more power. I mean it's OK to not have the money to spend on headers, but others do, others are willing to fork out $1500 for 15hp or more depending on what has already been done. Because guess what 15hp or 150hp, it's still a gain. Please just go back to worrying about what oil is best for a 30mpg base model 6 pot and leave the rest of us to continue having fun experimenting with the things that make us happy. You know in the real world, instead of behind a pencil ( or pen or computer or stone, or what ever you use to write). And next time just stop to think, maybe they already know, maybe they just don't care. Because we really don't care...
  17. Fuel economy is going to suck. Unless it's been regeared to 4.10 or 4.56 gears. Even still, more air getting under the truck throws off aerodynamics. The larger tires have more rotating mass to over come and stop. The larger tire itself is less aerodynamic, let alone if it's sticking out some or a more aggressive tread. If it hasn't been reprogrammed for the larger tire you can't trust the DIC not that they are accurate in the first place. At best I'd expect 10mpg.
  18. Exactly "your world". The V6 "I get 30mpg" world. You argument/point is invalid here. People looking to add long tube headers aren't looking to increase MPG and don't care about what the headers are going to do for them in stop and go traffic. They want them for the peak numbers, for what they give at WOT. They want thrm for those times they go for a spirited drive and they get to see the benefits, it's the same with all performance mods.
  19. I read this this morning on Instagram, definitely sad to hear.
  20. No it was the Silverado, my 14 silverado headlights sucked. Dad's 15 sierras headlight were good. My 17 Silverado and 18 Sierra's headlights are great though.
  21. High Country's come factory colour match with Chrome grilles.
  22. I bought mine off Amazon.ca
  23. Quick snap on the way home.
