  1. You don't need a converter, specially for those mods. A 3000 to 3200 stall converter will wake the truck up a bit, still it's not needed.
  2. I find it a bit better. But I did it, because I eventually want to upgrade the system completely and the door panels were already off to do the mirrors. It'll probably be a better quality difference once the rest of the speakers are replaced and an amp and sub are added.
  3. I did the same thing when I did my DL3 upgrade, only I went with Polk Audio. I'm glad I took the time and did it together, because I am not ever planning on taking those door panels off again. Lining them up to get them back on sucks.
  4. My two toys tucked away in the garage. the bike will get stored in the house come winter. It's gonna get blown apart and customized this winter too.
  5. Towed a new toy home. Really gotta get a new receiver to adjust for the lowered suspension. And I'm fairly certain the Uhual trailer weighed more than the bike.
  6. Yes, there's one around me.
  7. There is a "flapper". It's ahead of the muffler under the truck. It's sole purpose is to deal with AFM.
  8. You sure you're just 2" up front. Seems lower than mine, I've just got 2" drop spindles.
  9. Brownstone Metallic, it was a 14/15 only colour. I had a 14 Silverado in that colour, I loved it.
  10. Couldn't get a 6.2 in a regular cab short box. Ergo 5.3 > 6.2...
  11. When it was brand new someone daily drove it. Provided it's in good shape, you should be able to, too.
  12. Still doing. Fixing the shitty bumper gap the truck has had since I bought it.
  13. Switched out some colour matched stuff for chrome. Just felt the side needed some contrast, and it kinda ties in the chrome bumpers. Will keep the colour matched stuff for when I change my mind again lol.
  14. Belltech 25004 struts are lowering or lifting struts. If it came with 6 spacers and you put them all in, you lifted the front 2" with the struts. Do you basically lowered it 2" with the spindles and then lifted it back up with the strut. If you only wanted 2" up front, why not just leave the stock struts? Take half the spacers out and put them back in, that should be stock height.
  15. GM still makes a RCSB, sadly, they just don't sell them in North America. They actually make a Trailboss and RST with a full console for the Dubai market.
  16. I have a 2/5 with no notch.
  17. This is the only snow this thing see's. Snow doesn't bother me, it's the salt they pave the road with in the winter here. I don't care what people say, she sits in the garage during the salt season.
  18. If the front can't be aligned, then yes they are required. If it can be, then no. As for the pinion alignment, as soon as you take it for a drive you know if it needs shims. It'll have a vibration, if it doesn't, then you are probably fine. At 7" you'll probably bottom out, you'll likely need a notch. And check your tail shaft to drive shaft engagement, you may need to shorten the driveshaft. Or everytime you hit a bump the suspension could be shoving the driveshaft into the tail housing, eventually this will break something. And does rough countrys lowing kit, still mount the front strut under the lower control arm? If so, I'd get belltech drop struts and get rid of that garbage.
  19. Patiently waiting for summer... It was sunny out, so I pulled it out and let it run while I did some rearranging in the garage.
  20. I've bought a few old GMT400 trucks over the years. Solid trucks are hard to find, but they are out there. My last one was a 91 c2500 and it had zero rust, and zero clear coat. This one needs some work to the drivers sill, but that's it.
