  1. Most of the stove pipe issues I've seen have been extractor issues rather than recoil spring. Recoil spring is usually failure to feed and a few other issues. Do you shoot factory ammo or reloads? I have seen times where stove pipes were caused by weak reloads. It doesn't cycle the slide all the way back which doesn't allow time for the spent casing to eject. I recommend looking closely at the extractor to see if it is chipped or damaged in any way. I typically clean mine with a dental pick to get any hard build up out from under the edge so it can make good contact with the case rim. 2. How many rounds do you have through the gun? Also, can you describe the issue you are having? You mentioned ejection problems. What exactly is it doing? STI
  3. Most lefties I know use their index finger to operate the slide stop and magazine release. With a little practice they became very proficient at it. As you mentioned, an ambi safety is the way to go. STI
  4. How well does the dip hold up with tire rotations, etc.? I've been considering dipping mine, but was concerned with how it would hold up. STI
  5. I am 6'4" so I feel your pain. All of those little guns feel very small, but with a little practice you get used to it. I've shot both the G42 and G43. They are both good guns and shoot very well. However, like any other Glock, I would change the sights out. The factory sights suck. I shot the G43 and the XDS 9 one right after the other so I could get a good comparison between the two. I preferred the XDS a little over the G43. For some reason it felt better and I was more accurate with it. Of course your results may be different. My buddy I was shooting with preferred the G43. If you are getting the LEO discount, I would pick one up for sure. STI
  6. Check out Dawson Precision. You can order them online and put them on yourself. I've done a lot of them. If you don't know how, they have a few videos on YouTube to walk you through it. If you have a vice, hammer, small flat file, and a little loctite you have everything you need.
  7. Both sound really good. Do you have the 5.3 or 6.2? Also, yours looks like single in/single out. Will dual out make much difference?
  8. I have talked to a couple of shops in my area and they are all $325-$400 for Magnaflow custom duals. I was questioning the difference between the 14" and 18" and one of the guys told me most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them. I'm assuming he is talking about in the cab? I would think there would be a pretty good difference outside or with the windows down. Anyone have first hand knowledge? It's really hard to tell from YouTube clips.
  9. Awesome! Thanks for the info. I thought about it during the 30% off sale and didn't pull the trigger. I'm torn between this and just having a local shop put in a Magnaflow and cut out the flapper and resonator. STI
  10. Which one did you get? How is the drone/chopper?
  11. I really like the new hood ornament. STI
  12. Awesome! I was hoping that would be the case, but I've never done one. Thanks. STI
  13. I'm looking at different front leveling options. I plan to attempt the install myself. If I go with a 2" kit that uses the bottom spacer only, will I need to loosen everything up or will I be able to get them in with minimal work? STI
  14. If it isn't raining or freezing, my windows are down and the slider is open. I don't care how hot it is. Drives my wife crazy. I love my slider.
  15. I try not to go that fast on the family road trips. ;-)
  16. Maybe try the 18". If you leave the flapper on, no matter what muffler you go with, it won't be loud at all. I was afraid of that. I personally like the meaner sound of the 14", but we take my truck on road trips for the extra room for the kids. I know my wife will complain the entire time if I go to loud. 95% of the time it wouldn't matter, but that other 5% has the potential to be a real pain in my a$$.
  17. All of these sounds clips of the Magnaflow are great. I'm looking to put one on my truck, but I'm unsure which I should get. I'm loving the sound of the 14" in the clips, but I don't want to listen to my wife bitch because it is to loud. If I do the 14" with resonator delete but leave the flapper, will I get pretty decent sound. I'm primarily looking for some rumble at start up and when I feel the need for speed. I'd like it to be pretty quiet at cruising speeds.
  18. Are any of you using a dual in/dual out Magnaflow? If so, what size? Also, is there a difference in the amount of drone you get from those vs. single in/dual out when the AFM kicks in?
  19. Got my Rhino liner sprayed in.
  20. I just told them about it when I made my oil change appointment. They looked it up in the system and took care of it.
  21. Update: So far so good. The seat is rock solid after the fix.
  22. Yep. I turned it to on, off, and door. Nothing. I also tried turning he map lights on and nothing. I'll have to check the fuse tomorrow when I can see what I'm doing.
  23. I'm about to head out to grab the owners manual, but I thought I would throw the question out here as well. I got in the truck tonight and noticed none of the dome lights are working. Doesn't work when the doors open or when I try to turn them on manually. Any ideas other than a possible blown fuse? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Unfortunately no. I looked everywhere and the TSB was not anywhere on the paperwork. I figured I would at least post the part numbers for reference.
  25. Here is the information on the paperwork regarding the seat movement repair. The seat is solid now, but I guess only time will tell.
