  1. it is not the dealership, it is the fact that GM will not give them the ability to do it
  2. springerst94 when i did my 2014 chev lt, i put power folding tow mirrors on. i bought the power fold switch and installed the mirrors. the signal in the mirror worked and so did the power fold and the mirror adjustment works. what didnt work was the puddle lamp and the marker light on the front of the mirror. you have to to go to the engine compartment for the marker light on the front of the mirror because there is nowhere in side the truck for that. it takes a lot of time to add the extra wires to make everything work. if i was to ever do this again, i would definately buy the harnesses from Phil
  3. these new hylux ballast make the job easier, but are not reliable. i put these in my 2014 and they worked great for 6 months and now have quit. i had to put the relay harness back in to get my headlights to work
  4. will be waiting for an update, friend has a 2017 doing this
  5. without using a scanner to see why there is not spark, i would check the wiring for the crank position sensor, if it is not reading correctly you get no spark
  6. you will also have to buy the heated seat module with the custom bcm programming
  7. that was before they started spraying chemicals on the roads, that stuff will eat galvanizing away
  8. your location says ontario, if that is in canada, then there is no such thing as a forever truck. unless you buy a winter beater and park the other. rust will get it no matter how hard you try
  9. i had katzin leather and heater install in my truck, at first the 3 different settings worked but now the heat is the same on all the settings
  10. this problem can be caused by the a/c. i found this problem on a 2015, the fans were always running on full speed. he bought the truck used and thought it was normal , but the a/c didnt work. i hooked the gauges up and the system showed full charge. i hooked my scannner up to see the a/c pressure switch was commanding the fans on high. i was going to replace the pressure switch, but found the wiring going into the switch was bad, fixed the wiring and problem solved
  11. your post says 2018 but under your name says 2019 which do you have
  12. yes but a 2017, you need to have a mdi, gm's gds and buy a subscription for sps
  13. all the lights share the same ground, if the park lights dont work it is because there is no power getting to them
  14. you could check the engine fan clutch if it is shot and not pulling enough air
  15. look under the back of the truck, there is a junction block that every thing at the back plugs into, unplug the one for the tail light and see if there is any corrosion
  16. check the settings and see if start up volume is set to high
  17. same as Grumpy 105k miles, replaced vacuum pump, driveshaft and signal switch because my left signal wouldnt shut off. just did the brakes
  18. if you have a trailer plug , i would take it apart to see if it is corroded
  19. though at that mileage it shouldnt be the problem, but a blocked pcv valve will also cause this
