  1. 2016 Silverado 1500 5.3 LT, 70K miles, AC out. compressor not engaging, sure enough I have freon leaking at the same weld as previously mentioned.
  2. My 2016 key fob buttons are beginning to wear, but nothing like the OP!! His fobs look like they boofed into a prison many times... I want to go with something like this: I just sent AJT Design an email to see if they can sell fobs with different color buttons like this one, I like the RED panic and BLUE remote start. $39 on AJTdesign-llc.com.
  3. yeah I did front and rear diff and transfer case at 50K. The rear diff fluid was dark but the front and transfer case weren't that bad. Peace of mind though. I know it was done, properly. I'm voting in person to ensure my vote is counted. In PA a certain party has been caught throwing the opposing party's ballots in the trash. There are a lot of dead, ineligible and people casting multiple votes in PA. Especially in the urban areas where one party dominates the population.
  4. The diff and transfer case fluid change is very easy. I'm not a mechanic, I did it all a few hours, taking my time and having beers. I was surprised at how easy it is. A member posted a how to that made it super easy. DO IT! The trans fluid on the other hand, I'm going to have someone else do it.
  5. video of a Silverado, GONE IN THREE MINUTES GONE IN 3 MINUTES
  6. here is a good read on this topic: How Thieves Are Stealing The Chevrolet Silverado So Quickly
  7. What happened to your original motor?
  8. Get 3 estimates from reputable shops and see what they say.
  9. I went with AC Delco Dexron VI full synthetic at the recommendation of a friend who builds racing transmission and race cars. He is a GM guy, and engineer by trade. He has a Silverado 3500 that pulls his car hauler and gigantic camper. For what I do (daily driver, hauling a light load (5x8 landscape trailer hauling tree stands, ATV hunting gear, tree trimmings).
  10. YYC-Sierra, thank you for the write up. I was going to take my truck to the stealership but after seeing this, I picked up AC Delco 75/90, 75/85 and AC Delco full synthetic trans fluid and did the rear diff and transfer case myself tonight. Doing the front diff tomorrow. This was the first service at 52K and to be honest, the transfer case fluid was still red, the rear gear lube was dark but not a whole lot of metal on the magnets. I feel better now that it's done. I would have done the front diff tonight but I have a skidplate that needs to be removed, didn't feel like doing it in the dark.
  11. following..... My question is, will the police rotors fit a factory 17" wheel?
  12. Drained today about 300 miles.
  13. I have an Elite Engineering catch can, it definitely collects moisture and oil. Especially if I'm running my truck hard. Is it saving my engine from carbon build up? I'll find out sooner or later. So far though, I have prevented a significant amount of oily moisture from reentering the intake.
  14. First snow/ice and they broke from the refreeze. Garbage.
  15. Replaces 2 yr old rusting NFAB bars with iBoards, took about 20 minutes to install. First thing I noticed was how much easier it is getting in and out, not only for me but the wife and kids. When I removed the NFAB bars, the tubes were full of rust crumbs.
  16. I just came...............hard....
  17. Makes no difference in my case
  18. Yes, I have the front and back rocking/clunk. The entire seat rocks. The dealer replaced the seat base twice and they say it's normal. Funny when I showed a salesmen he was embarrassed that the service department said it was normal. We compared it to a brand new truck, same body, same seat.....new truck was solid.
  19. Very disappointed with the NFAB nerf bars. Not only did they start to rust after a year (and I don't drive my truck in salty conditions, I have a beater car for that), but I cut a corner too tight and clipped a landscaping boulder which bent the brackets like pipe cleaners. The nerf bars crushed the rocker panel, cab corner and bed corner. $2800 damage. I really liked the way they looked but if your shoe size is larger than a men's size 9, its hard to get good firm traction on the step, especially when they're wet.
  20. The dealer replaced the seat back frame again which did nothing for the seat base movement. I'm done with GM. The transmission shifts are horrible. As soon as spring arrives I'll be trading on another brand.
  21. They most likely won't replace the entire seat, they replace the frame or install the replacement parts as stated in previous posts. I guess it depends on what the find or admit to finding.
  22. Yes, mine was doing the side to side movement and the dealer replaced the seat base frame. Then the forward/rearward movement started....
