  1. 1. pull out the trans filter and inspect it for metal debris first, make sure the hard parts aren't disintegrating inside the trans
  2. try a set of SUmo springs, no air no maintnance
  3. anybody know who makes a metal tool box for the bed, that fits below the bed rail. reason is i want to install a camper shell too.
  4. redline 5w-30 zero oil consumption thru catch can
  5. .................................
  6. everything is easy to say, swap this do that, flash this.... once life gets in the way it turns into a mothball project POS from hell. just buy a new truck with the correct options your looking for this time.
  7. it has more Mechanical Leverage, because the crank is stroked 3mm or so.. on a 6.6 vs the 6.2 i just like the idea of buying a set of high flow heads , e85 sensor , 6.2 intake, cam and 6.2 TB, and a tune. call it good enough for the 5.3
  8. LT4 ....yes please document it when you do it!
  9. i'd be more interested in the stroker 6.6 swap into a 5.3 or smaller truck, torque is KING when it comes to the street and hauling stuff
  10. can you provide more info on your hydroboost setup?
  11. just datalog the cfm on the maf sensor, no dyno necessary
  12. too high... you can get the wheels off the new 2021 T1 trucks for that price
  13. keep looking on craigs list, 850 is too high for chips and curbing, $500-650 is a good price. you might be able to get a grey powder coat powder, and heat it with a heat gun to repair the chips for spot repairs
  14. those are real, i have the same set up , those came off a tahoe cause they wheren't offered on trucks in GUn metal, i paid $600 with 200 miles , sell the dumb 20" rims on your truck for $700 to a ghetto rat and your still making money at $800 sale price,
  15. I've learned my lesson with 2 products i bought , from DOdge, NEVER AGAIN... !!!!! i would of went toyota if i had to choose between Dodge and the rest of the market.. and you know what Dodge makes good stuff but they have lousy support and lame warranttee work, and yes electrical issues..... lease it for 2 years and trash it, everything nowadays is designed to fail
  16. what's the friction pad level on the Pads? i think it's a letter rating , just curious if you know...
  17. when will it end?? i cant take this antisocial society anymore.. first it was smartphones, and social media, then texting, now masks, my peers, nieghbors, friend kids. everyone is so difficult to talk to these days.. WTF 'Merica
  18. try switching to 5w-30 synth oil from redline or other manufacture. my oil consumption stopped when I stopped using 0-20 oil
  19. after checking on my NPR , i notice these trucks do not have the TCC lock up activated in the trans software. most likely NPR doesnt even have torque converter clutches at all.. this is probably why they are more reliable.. only down side of doing this in our trucks is a loss of 2-3 mpg..
  20. does it go away when you press tow haul or tap the brake pedal during the shudder?
  21. I have a 2012 NPR HD. and it regularly pulls 10,000 lbs every day its in use. I never had any strange operations with shift or shudder , its super reliable same trans as a k2 but the 6l90 has some internal upgrades and I think a larger clutch pack piston for better clutch holding power
  22. try an ISUZU NPR 4500 with 6 speed trans, get the 6l90E and check the specs on the NPR torgue converter stall speed... call "circle D" trans for more knowlegeable people shudder is trans pump failure, and TC coming apart.. also get all the updates from "trans go" for the 6l80 or 6l90
  23. one guy in the 1500 forum had success with a torque converter replacement for awhile. running in tow haul also improved the vibe reduction
  24. yes this is every consumer out there. "my toyota camry only get 16 mpg", it has a v6 and pumps out 300hp on 87 octane and weighs about 3800lbs,,, wtf Toyota why cant i get 35mpg in the sporty model? hahaha I wonder why.....
  25. GM and DOdge both have push rod motors, IMO these are the most reliable engines out there. Ford makes great power but the design is unreliable and would only lease a ford for 12k miles then trash it. NIssan is a bit shady and those 350 z motors are on par with Ford crap.. no clue about Nissa truck v8 I would say the next option is TUndra. but havent researched this truck yet. either way I believe the best decision is short term leasing or owning more than 8 years. you decide I should also note I have a 2012 ISUZU NPR with the GM 6 speed and this torque converter is rock solid, better than the unit in my 2012 GMC sierra 2500 truck which has a tendancy to howl and squeel at WOT. the NPR ISUZU same drive line is way better it must be Japanese built if it fits the K2 truck I recommend ordering it from the ISUZu dealership online, check the part numbers see if they are different from GM's numbers. i bet the quality is better than GM
