  1. So my question is has anybody retrofitted a charger into the lid like the previous versions of trucks had? Reason for this is 2 people in the front both with phones, I want a second charger option besides the old cable. My 2016 had it in the storage compartment lid.
  2. I purchased the trailer sensors when I bought the truck and just had them installed a month ago. I could not get them to program with the sensor finding device. It has worked with the truck tires when i rotate them but not the trailer. I had to use the "let some air out" method to get them to learn. Anyone else have this issue? Sorry for the hijack.
  3. I'll see if I can find my build sheet to help you out. But I found this : https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/proddesc.jsp?year=2022&addOptions=false&regionID=1&divisionID=2&type=0&vehicleID=22227&section=oi_def&page=1&pagenum=1&butID=3
  4. All I can tell you is the camera that interfaces with the truck is wired and you need to have the female receptacle in the bumper to plug into. I have an AT4 with the full trailering option and cameras. There may be a universal harness back there that you can get the receptacle and wiring to plug into but I am not sure. I have a 5th wheel and moved the 7 pin and camera connections into the bed and swapper the bed ones to the bumper. I had to buy extension cables for the camera connections to do this. I am sure someone will chime in that has done this or has more knowledge on the conversion.
  5. Another JR, what is the cost of the lighter front springs? Would it help to turn the torsion keys some to lower the front end without the swap? I have Sumo springs on the rear in place of the bump stops. This limits the squat by about 1/2 inch when hooked to 5th wheel.
  6. Whenever either driver gets in the truck and starts it up, I get a message to 'login with a password in order to continue using connected services". I have tried Sirrus XM password, MyGMC password and the password for the wifi. None of them is correct. So does anybody know what it is asking for? You can click remind me later and everything works but it is just annoying! I do not have a Onstar plan either.
  7. I have this option and tried to learn the sensors but it would just time out. I did not have the truck running as someone had mentioned. Will try that next. Thought maybe my tool which worked for my 2016 was not compatible with my '21. Tried to set up invisible camper mode with my 5th wheel. Had to lie about the size but it comes up. Just have to tweak a few dimensions to make it work better.
  8. I applaud your gas decision as that was my reason also for going gas. My 5th wheel is slightly less with 12K trailer weight and about 2200 at the pin. Pulled a few of the mountains in PA and I say just let it rev. That does not hurt the engine although it does lower the gas mileage. I average about 8mpg towing but the truck seems to be getting better mileage wise around town (14mpg) unloaded. Camping season is coming up so hope to gain another .5 mpg. I have the 6.8' bed and Anderson hitch which puts the pin over the axle. I did put sumo springs on the rear leafs and it reduces squat by maybe an inch but truck looks level when hitched. Have not went to scales to verify. I do have cameras on side mirrors that help on turns when connected to trailer. Just wish GM offered a larger fuel tank. 36x8=288 miles till empty.
  9. Question, tight area to get to bulbs. Is it a twist out base? Clockwise or counter. I know its a wedge bulb once I get the base out.
  10. For my 3500 AT4 it says "AT4 HD" and for the 2500 it would say "2500HD AT4". But that was for the 2021's. Might have changed for 2022. Also I think Denali's only come as crew cabs.
  11. "So are we making the plate lights brighter? Back in the day (the seventies) I wanted that bulb dim while I did the run and evading on the Jersey back roads. Those speeding tickets points were murder." No, we are just matching the lights. All others on vehicle are LED and whitish blue while the plate bulbs are incandescent and yellowish. Just looks out of place.
  12. For those who switched, did you go with 5000K or 6000K bulb?
  13. I have the connector moved to the truck box and the 5th wheel wire for the rear camera just above my rear window. For the life of me I cannot access the trailer measurement screen. Do I have to have the trailer connected? is it in the profile? Dealer was no help. I saw it originally before I put the camera on but cant find it now. Need help. BTW for those with 5th wheels, I ran cable along rail all the way to front of camper to the propane storage area. Drilled a hole to get to the front storage and ran the cable between the frame and skin to the pin box, Sorry no pics as the trailer is covered and in storage for the winter.
  14. On my 2021 AT4, every bulb in the truck is LED and clear ones are white light except for the license plate ones. Was this an oversight or done for a reason? I did replace these on my 2016 with white LEDs. The only reason I can think of it somehow causes weird reflections in the tailgate cam due to LEDs different output characteristics. It definitly looks out of place. Thoughs?
  15. I have it too and it does not have grid lines on it to help with distance. Picture is clear and the connector going into the socket is difficult to get in. If not seated properly then no display. Other than that I still use my spotter.
  16. Just to be clear the reason for the active shutters is to retain engine heat/. BTW I have a 2021 AT4 3500 with plow prep and no shutters.
  17. Gemarsh, no GM tailgates are all steel at least on the Hd's
  18. Other option is try a dent pro. Since there are no creases I can see they may be able to fix it. I talked to one place and they said it was possible when I did the same on my old 2016. My dent was from the inside (tailgate was put up when I was pulling away) but looked much the same. I did have to replace the top plastic on my '21 GMC in another incident and that part was $40 from the dealer. Might cost about $500 0r less.
  19. Fuel guy, you might just try a different fastener for the rails If your going to keep the truck then maybe drill holes and use short screws and nuts or maybe pop rivets every foot or so. I have a cover and know that the clamps are large. Just giving you options. The rails are never removed unless you are getting a new cover or removing it for sale so why not make it permanent.
  20. Just as the title says, looking for suggestions on where to install the control box.
  21. Grab handles are on the pillar now. I am sure you can go to your dealer and find the handle part in your interior color and figure out how to mount them. There should be a thicker metal brace running along the edge. As for someone who said vanity lights are missing, Do you mean the ones in the visor as my '21AT4 has them. If you get the SLT and up trim with the center console there are more than enough storage cubbies for the remote. My question is why the phone charger was moved to the console head near dash and taken out of the console compartment cover. My wifes Iphone barley charges because of the size.
  22. I do see that this is a purchasable option on the 2022 trucks for $330. So I hope to find an aftermarket with a more reasonable price.
  23. Just as the title says ,looking at these and finding a huge disparity of prices. Anywhere from $50 to $350. I would prefer the one that is red and interfaces with the headlight harness.Any suggestions or reputable places to purchase? I would think a quality plug and and play one could be had for around $200. Do not like the smoke out ones.
  24. Mine chirps on initial start up in the morning but once the engine is warmed up you don't hear it. Sounds like belt chirp to me. Will have dealer check it when in for 5k oil change.
