  1. 99% of owners will be just fine off-roading in them 99% of the time. So instead of one pumpkin hanging low, you have two shock mounts. Don't worry about it.
  2. Why Lemon Law it? You really up for the aggravation? Just let GM put in a new engine and drive on. You bought a first year model with all of its bugs not worked out yet.
  3. That's a milk run, don't worry about it. If you are going to be off road, make sure the tires are up for the task and consider carrying a couple cans of fix-a-flat and or a tire plug kit. My daughter just purchased a 2012 Sierra unicorn with 6" lift and 35" mud tires and drove it back from Idaho in three days.
  4. If the photos are an accurate representation of what you will receive, then yes, it has the latest software. 33.004.
  5. Well, the dealer did figure it out, you just don't trust their judgment.
  6. 43.5 psi is normal operating fuel pressure. How are you fuel trims reading and your O2 sensors reading? Any engine or chassis codes? Is this a sudden problem or has it been lingering and just gotten worse over time?
  7. Well, if that is the case, it is likely that your Remote Control Door Lock Receiver needs replacing. A bi-directional scan tool can read BCM codes and would allow for further diagnostic testing. If you do replace the RCDLR, it will have to be programmed but you may get away with a used one that has the same options as yours.
  8. How many fobs are you trying to program to the vehicle? Are there any other vehicles with fobs within 50-100 feet? It is possible your fob is dead, whether it is the battery or the electronics itself. Just had one go the other day, the lock button on it quit working. We keep 5 programmed to the truck so no big deal.
  9. 2009 Suburbans have the 6L80 transmission, not the 4-speed. Both transmissions are very stout. One truck is six years newer, newer gaskets, seals, etc.
  10. That's the extent of my knowledge with regards to radios! My go to on questions like that is Ken, KBuskill over at the TahoeYukon forum. Look him up and he'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
  11. Define affordable. If it was an option for the vehicle in question, the wiring and modules and such could be added and the person would then have to program the modules themselves. A dealership will not do this, is not allowed to do this. Said owner would need to purchase an MDI adapter along with GDS software and get a 2-year, $40 subscription to ACDelco's TDS system. First thing to do is have a look here to see if it's an option for the vehicle in question: https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web
  12. It's the width of the tires mostly that dropped your mileage. Our 2012 with six in lift and 35s gets 15 rather than 18 on the highway because of the lift and tires. She's shod with Trail Grappler M/Ts. Each tire/wheel assembly weighs 40 pounds more than stock.
  13. It will pull it and you'll know it's there behind you. Be mindful about how much stuff the Missus brings aboard! Change your fluids frequently, like every 36K and maybe even right after a heavy tow session if the temps got up above 220. It's cheap insurance.
  14. Ok, Calvin. Mine is not much different. Once warmed up, she runs just shy of 40 psi while driving and in the mid to high 20s while stopped at a light. Both our LC9 and L9H run this way. I gained 2-3 psi when I switched off of Mobil 1 EP and ACDelco oil filters and went with K&N long filter with the nut on the end. Aluminum engines are more loose, yours just a little more so it seems. I also switched to ACDelco oil, no more rattle on start up and gained a 1/4 MPG in fuel efficiency on the LC9. Mobil 1 is not what it once was.
  15. If the wiring for the O2 sensors is good, then it is time for a new ECM.
  16. What kind of oil and filter are you using? How often do you change it? Which 5.3 engine, the LMG or the LC9? The LC9 runs at a lower oil pressure, just below 40, but pumps 1/3 more volume per revolution as it has an aluminum block.
  17. So how long is GM supposed to build a truck to last? It's seventeen years old. How often have you washed the undercarriage since you had it? Did you replace any rusted parts along the way?
  18. Ok, makes sense. Your generation truck requires a weight distribution hitch for loads over 7,000 pounds and is optional below that.
  19. Was that with a weight distribution hitch or without?
  20. You cannot disable AFM with a Tech-2, you would need something like EFI Live or HP Tuners for that. It seems to me that when Vetronix moved on from the Tech-2, the Chicom factory kept making them and started selling them. Anyway, I've had one for about 4 years now and it has seen almost daily use since.
  21. You have a K2 right? If so, it is 21907.
  22. You need a custom tune that will adjust the transmission for the new tire size AND they can set the speedometer right. On a GMT900 you can not change the tire size, but you can tell the computer what kind of tire you are running and its desired air pressure with a Tech-2. HP Tuners and EFI Live are what is needed to change the speedometer. We've got 35s on our Sierra and the speedometer is off about 6 mph. Transmission performance is fine because she came with 3.73 gears. Sounds like you have 3.08s! 3.08 gears on a stock Tahoe is about 1550-1600 rpms at 70 mph. With 35s that will bring the rpms down to about 1400 at the same speed.
  23. The 41-110 has been replaced by the 41-162. The Chicoms have been counterfeiting the 41-110s and they are destroying engines left and right. So if you paid about $20-30 for a set of eight you can nearly guarantee you bought Chicom plugs.
  24. Well, you might still need to change the rear calipers, the new front ones could be bad or you have a problem with the ABS pump. You really need a bi-directional scan tool to properly diagnose this so as not to waste money throwing parts at it.
