  1. Remember, this discussion is about the protection given by Amsoil when compared to leading Full Synthetics, costing you minimum 4 oil changes to every 1 of Amsoil which in return saves you lots of money. Sent from Above
  2. Folks, as even the video states, there are those that you, no one can reason with. Immediately jumping into a discussion explaining that Amsoil saves you money on extended oil changes. Most people that care about their motors will do oil changes at 5K miles, Amsoil is 25k guaranteed oil for normal driving and 15k for heavy duty use. So, immediately you can see the the savings doing a 10k mile oil change. What takes the typical driver a minimum of 4 quarts per 1 of Amsoil and that’s 4 quarts of Mobil1’s finest (Annual Protection) not the basic Mobil1 Full Synthetic which competes with Crisco. Amsoil offers minimum 4X more protection of Mobil1’s leading oil “Annual Protection”, so if you cannot immediately see the benefits of choosing not only the highest protection rated motor oil currently available then you REALLY shouldn’t speak out because this isn’t about comparing Mobil1’s lower priced full synthetic it’s about highest rated against Amsoil. 3. Let’s focus here, started this thread showing proof that Amsoil is the best and why I recommend it so much. I’m not at all associated with Amsoil, it’s made a huge difference for me and the way my vehicle runs. So, this being said, there’s no need to bring up low price oil because this thread is about the best oil and what makes it the best. Whether you’re buying oil that just meets specs or because you’re looking to get more bang for your buck, Amsoil Signature Series completely blows away the competition. Ever wonder why are big oil companies using regular base oil with 100% synthetic additives (which is what Full Synthetic is) when you can have real 100% synthetic base oil with 100% synthetic additives.....You get what you pay for, superior protection between oil changes! 4. You’re correct, protect your investment and If you want to just use what’s recommended then that’s everyone’s option but if keeping it going with less wear and tear from the highest available protection then Amsoil is a no brainer, especially high dollar machinery. Sent from Above
  5. I don’t buy based on how cheap it is, I buy it basing on Protection and if it’s in quarts then so be it. You’re buying oil that is half the price because you’re buying the cheaper quality, less protective oil. Amsoil is actually cheaper than the highest quality Mobil1 Annual Protection which is offered with stringer synthetic cleaners. Moving on, stick to what makes you happy, Amsoil isn’t for the budget buying individual that’s just looking to meet specs, it’s for people wanting the most available protection between oil changes giving less wear and tear on their engines throughout the duration. 6. I’ve used Mobil1 for years as well until one day I looked into the Full Synthetic versus 100% labeling and was SHOCKED at just how misleading the Full Synthetic was, no where near the protection of a true 100% synthetic base stock oil and yet Mobil1 was more expensive per quart than Amsoil. Research and you’ll find that Amsoil Signature Series is at least 4X better than Mobil1, completely beating Mobil1’s Annual Protection. Oil companies in this country, manipulating everything, whether its politics or transportation, cost of traveling, tires, food etc etc. Amsoil is 100% Synthetic from base stock oil throughout the 100% Synthetic Additives, Mobil1 is made from much cheaper (Dino Oil) mixed with 100% Synthetic Additives. Amsoil clearly is the BIG WINNER here. So at 4X more Protection and cheaper to buy, Amsoil has made a lifer of me. Sent from Above
  7. Funny how that works, anyone can be bought for their adds with the right amount of money, from automotive manufacturers to celebrities Sent from Above
  8. Yeah, I won’t hold my breath on if and when I’m randomly going to receive anything other than a bent sticker ha! Sent from Above
  9. Somebody’s gotta have a word with their customer service department lol Sent from Above
  10. Btw, I’m still waiting for at least a freaking hat from Amsoil, considering the amount of oil and products I purchase and use through them. It’s been two months and still haven’t had a reply to my request for a free hat lol! [emoji848] Sent from Above
  11. Gotta appreciate a mans life long experiences, always going to be critics, I’ve grown up with them around, most are still in the same place I left them at. Knowledge from experience is what sets everyone free from the way it once was. Now a days, motors aren’t anything like they used to be, much more added moving parts with enormously tighter tolerances requiring superior protection and this is where Amsoil far surpasses them all. I’ve always enjoyed hearing from experienced individuals such as yourself Karnut. I’ve grown up on board ships and you outdoor equipment, both had something to lose if our equipment broke down but you’ve got much more experience on Amsoil than I do and the extreme importance of using products that prolong the life of your motors for continuous use versus keeping them running for the job. 12. I invite Grumpy Bear to give his explanation of the oil stock grade and why 100% synthetic is what you want especially for longer oil change intervals. Be ready, it’s going to be very informative! Sent from Above
  13. Totally get it, by the way, Amsoil makes thicker hot rod engine oil too. Check out their website and look at all the goodies they offer, from Engine oil, Trans Fluids, Diff Fluids etc etc https://www.amsoil.com/ Sent from Above
  14. It get to your door within a 2-3 days and it’s about the amount of protection you’re getting between oil changes, highest quality Mobil1 cost more per quart and yet Amsoil is 4X better, do the math and along with the Wix XP $10 filter which catches small as 20-21 microns completely blows away paper oem filters. Costs me $80 per oil change doing it myself and have personally noticed a big difference in the way my engine runs, no more tick tick tick which Mobil1’s Annual Protection that costs $11-$12 per quart couldn’t fix the GM tick tick tick engine noise My neighbor is an engineer and I asked him to give it a shot, try it for two straight oil changes and now he’s hooked. He changes his oil every 10k miles and said that he was shocked that Blackstone labs told him that it still had thousands of miles of protection still left in it. This is not made up, it’s daily real life, everyday people and I’ve become an Amsoil lifer or until something else beats Amsoil, fat chance but you never know. Sent from Above
  15. You could just go to 5K - 6k intervals which will definitely pay for itself. Go longer if you want, Amsoil is designed for longer intervals and then send a sample to Blackstone Labs and see for yourself. Sent from Above
  16. You may want to ask Amsoil this question as I’ve been told by multiple custom performance shops to use Amsoil. One of the primary reasons, aside of what I’ve said is that it cost the same as Full Synthetic Mobil1. I’m not an expert as to oils and only read results and this is what I’ve posted, the proof, test results. If you’re stuck on your oil, that’s great, continue and enjoy the benefits of what you know, I’ll enjoy the benefits based on test results and take to heart what the shops that build and work on very high performance vehicles recommend especially when they pay out of pocket because they believe in its ability to out perform. Good night everyone, busy day coming up, have the podium in pre council meeting tomorrow [emoji6] Sent from Above
  17. But why would you say that, if the proof is in the pudding and test results are all over the Internet and not just from Amsoil but from independent labs, why would you still think it’s all marketing scams? You know that damn tick tick tick sounds coming from the K2 motors? well, mine completely went away on the second oil change I realized it after my wife said my truck was quieter walking up to it on remote start. This is the primary reason I’m a life customer of Amsoil. Never putting down other oils but talk about marketing scams, Full Synthetic is a misleading scam by all those big oil companies. Never met anyone that thought any different based on the way Full Synthetic is marketed. Anyway, I only posted this to be educational and not attack anyone else’s choice of oil, buy what you want but I’ve always been about best available protection between oil changes, he’ll, I even thought Full Synthetic meant 100% synthetic, it’s not. 18. I’ve always had a 4x4 and swear by them but they’re a bit heavier and consume a bit more fuel as well as higher maintenance which I enjoy working on oil changes myself (especially easy under a lifted truck), to stressful wondering if the shops did the job correctly. Sent from Above
  19. The 4x4 shop is waiting for me to come in so they can swap it, it’s a pain in the ass to drive all that way just for swapping out the Diff Cover. You have a 6.2 as well? Sent from Above
  20. Just curious but what prompted you to buy a 4x4 after years of driving a 2wd and have you noticed any ride quality difference along with mpg’s ? Sent from Above
  21. Watch the video guys, I didn’t do the test results, don’t shoot the messenger! [emoji6] And NO, I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH AMSOIL! Sent from Above
