  1. Is it a flex fuel 5.3 and what r u looking to get next? Sent from above
  2. E85 is a very clean burning fuel, as a matter of fact I bet your valves are in excellent condition but for those of us that don’t have E85 capabilities, we’re stuck with all sorts of ideas lol Sent from above
  3. Looks to me it’s proof that it’s beneficial to use a Catch Can. It’s totally up to the owner of the vehicle, may be easy for most to mess with it but some just want to drive it, later trade it for next model but I personally am using Lucas Fuel Treatment literally in every full tank and since I’ve been using it I’ve noticed zero issues. Do I think there will be zero issues down the road? Who knows, but till I notice any issues I’ll be using it along with Amsoil Signature Series 100% Synthetic and changing every 5K miles. My wife’s 16, 5.3 SLT Yukon XL had rough idle caused by carbon build up under 20k miles and dealership wanted to charge me $300 just to pour in their special fuel additive so I declined and started using Lucas Fuel Treatment, never had any issues after that. I don’t know whether I’ve got carbon build up but the one thing which is for certain: Truck has 20k miles on it with ZERO issues which personally I contribute to using Lucas Fuel Treatment since I’ve bought the truck brand new. Btw, due to kids now older, getting their own cars, flying is the new necessity, the Yukon XL has been replaced by a couple new BMW’s lol Sent from above
  4. https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/a27182434/how-oil-catch-can-works/ Make sure to watch the video Sent from above
  5. Correct, more tire gives more cushion but then you’ll have more bounce which is where the quality of you suspension comes in and with shocks like CST, KING and a couple others, you’ll be set Sent from above
  6. The 19’s GM’s don’t have computer assisted suspension without it being a Denali. I just turned in my 19 loaner SLT 2WD CC while my Lifted 18 was being serviced and couldn’t wait to get back into my Lifted truck. The truck doesn’t need 18” of rubber? No, it’s personal preference, you can drive with any size you want but you’ll never see an off-road race truck with 20” wheels cause more rubber means more cushion. If I put 22” wheels on my Lifted truck it would ride like crap, I’ve got 20” wheels and wish I had 18” instead. I could go on and on but Again, you don’t compare a German sedan with ride sensitive suspension to a pickup truck built to haul and tow, twist and turn on dips etc etc. Sent from above
  7. Pretty truck, how much you pay per quart for the Mobil1 oil? Sent from above
  8. Ummm, this is a truck forum, why are you comparing the ride quality of a 4door German built sedan to a Pickup truck? Trucks and sedans ride completely different, my teenage daughters new 19 X5 with 20” wheels rides much smoother than your 5series but that’s cause computer assisted ride, aside of the Denali and especially the Raptor, trucks don’t have that. Golden rule in trucks, the more meat the smoother the ride but less air pressure. Sent from above
  9. ProComp would be 4WHEELPARTS. I don’t get it, why buy a Denali and put crap suspension on it! You should look at getting a CST 4.5” Suspension lift, superior quality and will add value to your truck at time of sale especially selling to someone that’s knowledgeable on Lifts. ProComp is ok, crap shocks and coil overs. If I was you I’d put it all back to stock, sell it, save up and buy a CST Lift https://www.newlevelmotorsports.com/cskc3191.html YOU’LL LOVE IT! Doesn’t widen your track width, keeps your stock wheels and tires up to 35”, superior heavy duty reinforced lift second to none. Sent from above
  10. Correct, best of all you go to the dealership and complain about something about that transmission clunking, slipping issue or camera quality getting worse and you’ll get a “cannot find or duplicate an issue” or “found to work to GM specs” sound like to me GM has definitely lowered their standards putting profit over reliability. When an automobile manufacturer bailed out by the very customers it sells to knows they have issues in its manufacturing and yet purposely pushes out the product for sale, to me that’s disgusting and criminal offense and the added millions of dollars that consumers are having to spend in order to keep their product running is enough for me to BAD MOUTH anyone doing so. Guess this is why my wife and kids are driving brand new Beemers lol Sent from above
  11. Don’t go hurting yourself there Honda, shouldn’t go attacking people for giving their personal experience on a GM product especially since Ive owned a great number of them and highly doubt you’ve ever spent enough on one like I have to make an educated enough guess to realize that the enormous class action law suit on GM is there for a reason and yet still pumping out same transmissions. My 18 6.2 is in the shop this very moment having preventative flushing and fluid changes done so I can keep it especially after pouring large amounts into personalizing it, so not done with GM yet but when I sure as hell will not be getting a Dodge but when I’ve had enough I’ll post it then I’ll leave you with your mess on wheels. 12. The backup camera in my 18 GMC SLT 1500 is expectable during the day but has horrible grainy resolution in the evening, installed really bright led backup lights and did help. Well, at least GM got the camera right in the 19’s, excellent clarity in day or night. Sent from above
  13. Thanks for your input professor, my 12th plus truck and never have I ever felt or heard any clunking. Escalades, Yukon’s, lots of Fords and even a few garbage Dodge and most of all there’s a reason to why GM is facing an enormous Class Action lawsuit and not because it’s a TRUCK! Btw, the back up camera SUCKS in the 14-18 but really like the backup camera in the loaner 19 as well as the charging pad that actually works on the IPhones, that’s all and IMHO rest is generic. Sent from above
  14. And that’s why I’ll be done with GM for good as soon as I start having bad transmission issues like I’ve been hearing. so far minor once in a while soft clunks. I’ve also heard Raptor guys having issues with their drivetrains too. I’m thinking getting an older truck for Hog hunting and HomeDepot runs and hop back into the German side. Sent from above
  15. Correct but I’m driving a new 2019 loaded out loaner that doesn’t have any clunking at all as a matter of fact it’s very smooth shifting. One negative I noticed immediately is that my truck Lifted with the CST lift druves much smoother than this new 2wd and feels like a boat on handling, yuck! I’m missing my truck already Sent from above
  16. Lol, aside of a little transmission clunks I’m really enjoying my truck. To much put into it to just get rid of it. Right now it’s in the shop with 18k on it doing a preventative transmission flush. I told them it’s the only way to prevent trading it in for the Raptor, they didn’t like hearing that. I’m now realizing that I’m much more into the German Manufacturing then the GM but I need a truck for off-road and hog hunting Sent from above
  17. Same crap kept happening with my Yukon, GM said normal and along with the transmission acting up, it’s now surrounded by Beemers in a BMW dealership. I’ve never had so many issues on any of my many vehicles until I started buying GM, I’m done with GM. Sent from above
  18. Originally, did a 2.25” front adding 1” in rear leveling with stock uca’s. I’ll never level again, to harsh of a ride, lifted 4.5” now. Sent from above
  19. Thanks but don’t think they’ll be giving you new shocks, they’re just shitty oem shocks. If they don’t swap out the shocks I’d hold off till you do a lift then install high end aftermarket shocks that’ll give you an excellent ride. Good luck Sent from above
  20. Changing your shocks won’t affect your warranty. Bilsteins are entry level performance shocks which many love, I personally prefer smoother custom ride shocks like King, CST. Here’s my setup now with a lift and doesn’t affect warranty, only parts you’ve added aren’t covered but shocks alone will never void anything especially Bilsteins, they used to be standard shocks on our trucks some years back. 5100’s for leveling and 4600’s for stock height. Sent from above
  21. Same thing happened to me, changed shocks and went away. Sent from above
  22. As of last year only for the six speed but they do have a newer model out now. You should go to their website and put in your vehicles information as well as call them with any additional questions you may have. Sent from above
  23. My neighbor has the Dynapro ATM’s in his Ford and loves them. My big thing when buying tires is after 20k miles, the ability to hold traction and not doing a tire test inside first 3-5K miles like 95% of most tire reviews. The KO2’s are excellent all around tires, the Ridge Grapplers are the same (minus the snow performance experience) and had a couple fords with the Scorpions but wasn’t impressed at all with them. The Coopers aren’t my bag of tea either mostly due to larger size not being manufactured with enough Silica as the smaller passenger size tires. I’ve found that it’s not at all true what’s advertised and from my personal experience I’d stick with what you know for sure, an AT with all season capabilities is the perfect choice but you can get Michelin Defenders which are specifically engineered and built for the higher demands of the newer trucks and SUV’s with higher horse power and torque, just get a wider taller set and you’ll be driving with much more confidence through all weather added sidewall protection Sent from above
  24. Heard good things about those tires too. Sent from above
  25. Nitto Ridge Grapplers have much more durable and stronger side wall protection and are great off-roading but do think they’re a bit rougher riding on road than the KO2’s. Road rash shows up on the KO2’s but not easily on the Nittos. I know that Continental Tires have had some great reviews but may have been somewhat premature reviews with not having enough miles on them to really do a quality longevity report on performance. My experience with the Continental all season highway tires which gave me excellent ride quality in the start but didn’t do well once you hit 20k on them, wore out fast so I switched to the Michelin Defenders and very happy I did and will say that the Michelin Defenders are the best highway tires I’ve ever owned on my Yukon XL and my CC Z71 DMax. My next tires, I’m going back with KO2’s simply for better absorption of in city cracks and small potholes, only so much the coil overs will do. Next truck will be The Raptor, simply cause it has excellent handling and super capable along with very comfortable versus spending thousands on adding suspension on another truck and never getting to that level.
