I do understand your concerns but as a business man I also see his introduction into the Diff Cover market as well. These aftermarket Diff Covers have been around longer than you and I and constantly upgraded with additional cooling properties. I’ve had aftermarket Diff Covers on many vehicles with zero failures (wish I could say the same for other stock parts) and same for my friends. The G2 is another example of an excellent design and ease of maintenance which helps make changing your Diff Fluids much easier and sooner leading to a well maintained rear. He said his findings are based on square aftermarket Diff Covers which last time I checked my Diff Cover wasn’t but again that being said he purposely mislead everyone questioning Diff Covers and then later decided to come out with his own version which he’s never done before. He also went on to say that his findings are inconclusive and that he has no idea how well his Diff Cover will work but I’m sure no different than the rest. I noticed his design had large fins from the inside too which IMO looks flawed and possibly his attempt keeping fluid from breaking down but no way capable fitting. Moving on, he starts with questioning the validity of Aftermarket Diff Covers and whether they work or not, moved on to now getting into the business of making his own into the already well established and flooded Diff Cover market. Banks has been replaced by so many newer and MUCH BETTER designed products out there and this is just his way of a comeback, the more I think of how he started out with questioning the validity of aftermarket Diff Covers in general and then making his own version speaks mounds, got your attention and others as well, I’ve got to much experience in life and especially life’s manipulations feeding only fears. Depending on your driving characteristics and whether you tow. I do mine every 10k Miles, a bit excessive but it’s very easy to have done and cheap. Many do it every 20-30K miles. Your owners manual will be at the max. Sent from above

You’re absolutely correct! His first video started off looking for reasons not to have an aftermarket Diff Cover, his last video has him introducing his Banks model. I found his first video to be BS especially after I later found out he’s one of the manufacturers out there that were trying to get a GM HD contract. It’s all publicity and even his video states he has no idea what his diff cover is going to produce, guess there’s a dumbass/guinea pig born everyday. These fin cast iron and aluminum cooling systems have been around for over 100 years. On board ships, the keel cooling systems even have fins on their outer radiator boxes. Everything Banks has done is for publicity and he’s got it, GM is now planning on using him for rear end mods. That’s correct and depending on the height of your truck a brush guard may not be necessary. With a Manic front brush guard which I had installed because I actually did go off road and helped push tall brush away from my whole front end, I once rear ended a Camry in one of my LandCruisers, totaled the Camry and because the land Cruiser was lifted, just damaged the front bumper but the brush guard actually damaged my front end even more, it smashed into the hood, lights, grill and both fenders. They’ve already made one, findings were inconclusive which now (as was expected) Banks is coming out with his own version to add to the increasing amount of new Diff covers entered into the market. In his video he even stated that he doesn’t even know what the outcome will be on his new design. That’s actually false, banks made videos that got that type of attention and obviously found that they do work cause “now” he’s made his own versions too. He made those videos for publicity reasons and obviously worked. He’s now introduced his own versions to add to the list. I completely forgot to add the reason why I switched to this aftermarket Diff Cover. Going off-road often it’s Super heavy duty especially useful if you scrape a curb or rock which will very easily peel the cheap thin stock one like a tin can. Holds more fluid and very easy to do your own maintenance along with added magnets for your own personal reassurance. Cooling fin properties and of course, Looks GREAT! Yeah, when I ordered my 18, CC, 6.2 the owner (a close buddy of mine) of the dealership looked at me and said you know, you may have issues with the transmission clunking, told him I’ll bring it back to him and he’ll fix it, he laughed. First week, drove to Austin and noticed it, then while parked in a parking lot it felt like I got bumped, no one around but the transmission just thumped hard. I later did a tune, turned off the AFM and along with not having shifting issues, haven’t felt the thump since Sent from above

You said rubberized coating spray. Any rubberized coating used to cover metal will trap moisture completely rusting out the frame. Look into the Marine Grade Primer and Paint, excellent results Sent from above

STOP! [emoji1630] Do not recommend doing ANY RUBBER COATINGS! They hold moisture and without realizing it you’re actually making it worse! There are special chemical applications available but prevention is the key such as ACF50 Anti-Corrosion. In addition, look up special marine application paint, used on ships, protecting against sea water and air too Sent from above

Absolutely agree with you there. We use special pricey alkaline paint on ships helping to reduce rusting from sea water and air, should be something available at least as an option for truck owners in snow country. But, then the lift companies would definitely lose sales from replacement parts if they weren’t deteriorating from the elements. Sent from above
