    They take $8k off the MSRP after having increased that MSRP by at least $ 10k over similarly equipped 2013 models. And people fall for it thinking they are getting a good deal. What a bunch of crap.

    Heavy duty GM trucks do not have vibration issues. Just ask some of the experts around here - some will tell you that even 1500 series vibration problems exist only in the minds of their owners. And GM will happily acknowledge that finding.

    It looks like it does not take much to make a new Silverado/Sierra owner happy these days.

    No coolant would cause the sensor to indicate overheating condition quickly and the check engine light would come on. if the sensor probe is exposed to hot air instead of coolant, it will register extreme overheating quickly as that air will be a lot hotter than hot coolant.

    This could be nothing more than a defective temperature sender sending wrong voltage to the ECU. It is apparently still within the operational range so no trouble code is stored. The ECU thinks the truck is running hotter than normal so the radiator fans are on high all the time and it will not enable the V4 mode. I would replace the temperature sender on my own if the dealership does not do it. This is most likely a simple problem with multiple symptoms.

    If it only shakes/vibrates at idle, you are lucky. Check all plug wire boots to make sure they are l tight before you take it anywhere.

    It can be a $ 0.50 button, but by the time GM installs it in a truck it will become a $ 350 "economy mode" package.

    Your shifting seat appears to be "the warning system built in the seat". It annoys you to the point that you remain alert at all times.

    If a state lemon law allows one to force the GM to buy back their vehicle if it cannot be fixed after so many attempts, why isn't there a similar law that would prevent GM from selling the same vehicle, in the same condition as a "certified used vehicle" to another unsuspecting customer through their dealers? Don't they have to disclose that this vehicle is a former lemon buyback and that nothing has been done to it to correct the defect?

    I test drove a new 2015 HD2500 Sierra crew cab 4X4. 6.0 gas engine recently, I did not like the way the truck rode. There was a hint of vibration in the steering wheel even at 45 MPH, the steering wheel was off center when going straight. It is enough to say that I did not buy the truck. It could have been something minor but I will not take any chances. And I am not even considering any new GM truck until I see a positive proof that they have fixed these issues and instituted decent quality control. As for diesel trucks having these vibration problems - some do, as evidenced by some complaints of this type on the HD forum. As for the "exhaust pipe weights", what exactly are those? Perhaps they help alleviate exhaust system vibration?

    No, I am not all wise or knowing, just speaking from experience. if your shocks are completely worn, you will get a wheel hop effect, which often feels just like a wheel out of balance. This will be caused by uncontrolled oscillation of the springs. You know the old shock absorber bumper test - if you push down hard on the corner of front or rear bumper, the truck should only bounce once, at most twice if the shocks are doing their job. It is not that expensive to get a new set of decent shock absorbers and try if they improve the ride. And even if your tires have low road force variation numbers, are you sure they are mass balanced properly? Remember that correcting the imbalance is the second step on a Hunter 9700 machine after RF numbers are checked. Perhaps having the tires checked for balance by some other outfit would not be a bad idea. And forget about the RF measurements for a while and worry only about the wheel balance. I have seen so many wheels balanced completely wrong by new car dealerships that I am always skeptical.
