  1. I haven't seen anybody else mention this so maybe something is missing from my truck or installed incorrectly. I have an AT4 with the preferred, tech, and driver alert 1 and 2 packages. My seat rumbles with alerts. That's great, but after 2200 miles my seat has become incredibly uncomfortable. It's to the point where I'm going to have to take it to the dealer to ask them if this is installed correctly, you can press into the padding and easily feel the devices that do the rumbling. The passenger seat is so much more comfortable. I'm at the point where I'd rather them rip out the vibrating things if they have no way of making the seat more comfortable. Has anybody else experienced this?
  2. Yeah, my dealership told me 4 payments....but I just called GM financial and they said I can do it any time without penalty. I asked if the dealership gets penalized, and he couldn't really answer the question. Sorry dealership, I appreciate you, but we're talking several hundred dollars, when I know they made money on my truck.
  3. Thanks for explaining that noise. I've been wondering what it was but not enough to research it.
  4. Ok, so we got it out without cutting it, but this was on a lift with two people manipulating the exhaust back and forth. It takes a little tetris/gymnastics to get it out of there in one piece, but it is 100% doable. On the ground or on jackstands? I'm not sure I would have bothered trying to get it out in one piece. Of course, once we got it out and realized how long it was, and I had no easy way to transport it (and no real potential to sell it, it's likely going to end up at the recycler), we ended it up cutting it just past the second flapper so I could stick it all in the bed of my truck. My advice would be to just cut it out with a sawzall, one cut will make pulling the old one out 10x easier. And then the new one goes in exactly as you would expect it to. There aren't any instructions in the box (other than to consult the official accessory service manual, AKA have your dealer do this), but you really don't need any, it pretty much fits together and hangs perfectly. Keep the existing clamp from where the flex pipe connects up toward the front, you'll reuse that one, everything else is in the box.
  5. I just put on the GM cat back system this morning...really solid. I can't compare it to what people are getting by just replacing the muffler and cutting out the flappers, but I will say that I'm really impressed. Lots of balls when you're into the throttle, very subdued at highway cruising speeds (I suspect this is largely due to the 10 speed keeping a low RPM when you're not passing somebody). Great balance. Went on super easy.
  6. They're also being made in Mexico. My AT4 was made in Mexico in January. So far no build issues, everything is tight and lined up well.
  7. This video convinced me to buy one:
  8. I'm confused though...I know Kicker has a full replacement amp/dsp they're doing, but I wouldn't think installing just the sub would adjust the crossover points of the doors.
  9. The information says it hooks directly up to a factory harness with minimal effort. I need to sit in a truck with one to hear the difference....I'm not even sure bass is really the issue on these trucks. The non-bose system is pure ****ing awful, I get ear fatigue at moderate volume very quickly. Garbage crossovers. More bass isn't going to help that, you need new speakers and a new amp. The bose (ugh) sounds ok, but when I ride around I'm not going "man I need more thump", I'm thinking "there's no real sound stage, all the sounds bleed together, the individual instruments don't stand apart but just run into each other", things like that.
  10. Did you paint the stock 20" wheels? What's going on there? Edit: Missed the line in your post where you said that you painted them. Cool stuff. Can I get that done somewhere, or did you do that yourself?
  11. If you don't get a TPW within a week I would be pressing your dealership VERY hard as to whether or not they have the necessary allocation to get your order accepted by GM. My AT4 order went nowhere for a solid 2.5 months before I pulled the plug and switched dealerships, had a TPW within a week, have my truck 3 months later.
  12. OnTheReel, did that cap on your trailer hitch come stock? My truck didn't have one, but I'm thinking maybe that's aftermarket.
  13. My wife is a teacher, it's a special local credit union for teachers in the county. They haven't changed their rates in 4 years.
  14. Good thing I waited until today to pick it up! $1000 bonus cash, and $1000 incentive to finance through GM (4 month lock in, after which I'll refi with my credit union at 2.5%). This truck is so sweet. Already had somebody stop me in a parking lot to find out details about it.
  15. My truck just arrived at the dealer. Earliest I could get it from them is Wednesday, but I'm wondering, should I wait for Friday on the off chance there's a promotion for March?
  16. Yeah I'm fully expecting it to not show up until February. Which is good, that means there exists some chance there will be a rebate when I close the deal. I can wait a few more weeks, I originally tried to order my truck back in August, and had to switch dealerships to get allocation.
  17. Reasons I chose the AT4: - 6.2L with the 10 speed transmission - New tailgate - Camera-based rearview - 360 degree camera views - Wireless charging - Heads up display - I liked the look of the trail boss but I think the AT4 is a little more refined.
  18. Call me crazy, I would be encouraged by the problem being a little more prevalent. They're forced to come up with a real resolution. I'm curious if the trucks with the problem were all built around the same time with a bad batch of frames, or if it's a problem with the process that installs the frame.
