  1. Thanks for the advice, I will have to try that. I have to get my front raised up - my front air damn practically scraps the ground it is so dang low. Level or 4" lift is the question right now and removal of said front air damn.
  2. OK this is what I got compared to my stock 2018 Denali - you have a 3.5" lift on the front and 1.25" on the rear. Calculations: You have 33/12.5r20 tires, that puts your hub at 16.5". Front= hub to fender is 40-16.5 = 23.5" Rear = hub to fender is 41.5-16.5 = 25" My Stock Denali measures Front = 36 and Rear = 39 13/16 on 285/45 r22 - hub is at 16.05" Front = hub to fender is 36-16.05 = 19.95" - let's call it 20" Rear = hub to fender is 39 13/16 - 16.05 = 23.75" So you can see that your front is about 3.5" higher than my stock Denali and your rear is about 1.25" higher. So is that a Level or a 4" lift? What does everyone think? Comments?
  3. Happy New Year! This is about as close as I can get to mud around my area. Every road is gated off. Anyone in the Redmond Washington area know of some good back roads to take?
  4. You may be right. I guess we could ask @sean006 to measure the distance from ground to top of the wheel wells front and back? That should settle it.
  5. Love the stance of your truck. Looks like a level, it would be great to know. What tires are those -they look good/aggressive.
  6. I live in Redmond Washington - outside Seattle - Microsoft & Amazon town. Audi, Mercedes, BMW's are like weeds here. I can say that Denali's are very much in demand as a premium truck out here. You see a lot of Yukon Denali's and a lot of Sierra Denali's. Personally I think the marketing guys at GMC know exactly who their audience is and people that shop Audi, Mercedes or BMW looking for a premium pickup or full sized SUV look to not so much a GMC but to a "Denali". I just picked up on my Sierra Denali and it is amazing how "Denali" is branded on the truck. It has become a premium sub-brand within the GMC offering. It's a great truck and importantly it is not an Escalade - which really has its own target market. Probably they met while working at Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Expedia, Google, etc... A couple both working for those hi-tech companies in a mid-level jobs could afford that easily. I agree the house is a little much. That looks like a $3M house. But it is all about the aspiration... Those GMC Marketing guys are not dumb.
  7. Went out in the rain on Friday and got a couple of shots. Trying to make something out of the cold dark winter day here in the Northwest.
  8. Thanks, the picture was taken at Keechelus Lake up at Snoqualmie Pass, Washington. Just take the service road out past Snoqualmie East. Approximate location: (47.3767460, -121.3887877)
  9. PM sent. Looks great. I am interested in your Denali grill. I have been going back and forth between doing a black out Denali or the standard grill. I purchased an SLT grill and was going to wrap the chrome surround. But lately have been looking to do a blacked out Denali. Thanks for the pictures.
  10. I have a new 2018 Denali and am trying to decide - leave it stock, do a leveling kit or go all in and do a 4" lift. The magneride creates a lot of uncertainty. Even if I do a leveling kit was was still thinking of putting new Readylift Tubular upper controls in to address UCA issues. Thoughts? For me if cost is not the issue what is the absolute best way to do a Denali Level or 4" Lift?
  11. Great, thanks for the input. I picked up a SLT grill from someone that put a Denali grill on. I am thinking of getting the chrome surround wrapped and just go with that. (Like @Denali_King ) Painting inside the surround is a bigger commitment.
  12. Interesting. Can you provide a bigger picture, it is a little small. So it looks like you went with a black “skid plate” and then painted the Chrome surround on the grill black. That looks good. I want to “black-out” my Denali but I don’t want it to be “murdered”. I still want some chrome but the stock Denali is a little over board on the chrome. I really like what you did. Great job. Also looking back at your side picture I see you blacked out the a lot of the chrome on the side - very nice. I like your build, more pictures would be great. That is just what I want to do. Thanks for posting. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I like your build, do you have more pictures. I would like to see your blacked out Denali grill. Looks good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Looks great. I am trying to figure out if this is really worth doing. Also it is good to see you did this - looks like your rig is several years old. My truck is only a couple of weeks old but I feel like every time I wash it, I am making a decision to not get it ceramic coated.
  15. I love your build! Hope you don’t mind but I am thinking of using your setup as a blue print for my truck. How is the RC 5” going for you? I was also looking at the 4” Fabtech for MagneRide. What do your UCA’s look like. On the grill, I was thinking of blacking out my Denali grill or using the Elevation Edition grill I picked up locally. Here is a screen grab of a blacked out Denali grill. What do you think?
  16. No problem - here is another shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. For me - stock 22” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Dang it, yep, I was thinking of @SNAFU88 -lesson learned - don’t post while drinking at dinner. LOL.
  19. Good advice but I have 22's with the ultimate Denali package and want to go to 17" wheels... I figure I will follow your lead and get 285/70-17 KO2s on 17x9 Pro Comps. If they rub, you can pay me for new tires. BTW I can't find "17x9 et -6 Pro Comps" on their website - this is the closest I found = SERIES 5045, 17X9 WITH 6 ON 5.5 BOLT PATTERN - SATIN BLACK. Is that the right wheel? https://procompusa.com/wheels-product-details.aspx?pt=101508&lc=PXA&pqq=2336-1558-1551-1557&pqa=16948-8275-8059-8268 .
  20. I love your wheel and tire choice. That looks great. Very old school and cool. Any other pictures?
  21. You are right. I have to admit, by the time I was at the dealer, ready to buy, I was only looking for a Denali - I did ask the dealer if they had an Elevation Edition - no they did not. And even if they did - I probably would have still purchased the Denali - my mind was made up on that decision. I like the dash, the fold out step and the fact they had the 6.2L on the lot that day. At the end of the day I wanted the Denali and I will try the other grill - if I like it, I will keep it on, if I don’t then back on goes the Denali grill. No harm, no foul. Hey it’s worth a try.
  22. LOL, you are right, the guy I purchased the grill from had put on a Denali grill. To be honest, I love the Denali - everything about it - except the garish grill and maybe the 22s also. I like the Elevation Edition but my primary focus was getting a 6.2L - and every Elevation Edition I saw had a 5.3L. I absolutely love the get up and go on this truck. I have a 5.3L Suburban and had a 5.3L Avalanche- the 5.3L did not make me happy. So I thought I would get a Denali and the 6.2L with all the extras that come with it and ditch the grill. I have no intention of selling the Denali grill - sorry - I will keep it if I don’t like the SLT grill and for possible resale. Personally I just think the truck looks better with the SLT grill with the chrome surround painted black, in my case. Plus I like the red hooks from the AT4. At the end of the day, I can just put the Denali grill back on.
  23. Just picked up a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali. Love this truck. I need to get a lift or level. I am also thinking about replacing the Denali grill with an SLT grill. I photoshopped what I think it will look like - comments? Here is a current picture of it - all stock Here is the photoshopped version. I have picked up an SLT grill, I need to get the chrome surround painted black, pick up some red tow hooks and then Plasti-dip the chrome area under the grill. Let me know, or should I keep the Denali grill?
