Mod worked cargo lights and bed lights came on tonight. The directional instruction of the diode is critical. Thanks again MeatHammer !!

It went right in for me. These diodes that I have now are definitely larger in diameter then the first ones I had and went in and made contact really easy.

All, I had done the diode mod and it had never worked for me until Meat Hammer mentioned these are directional. I had the gray tip end in opposite of the photo above. I just did another diode in the right direction and when I started the truck and put into reverse, the cargo light on the dash came on. Done !! Thanks so much MH for this info, can't wait till it gets dark so I can see the cargos come on with the FOB. 4W

Washed it from the final duck hunt of the year and installed the under rear seat storage tray. Worked great.

That’s exactly the problem I had, my first order of diodes simply were so thin it would not make a good connection. So the Chanzon were the ones that worked correct? I will give these a look. Thanks !

2017 Sierra All Terrain 2.5 inch Fab Tech level.

I do have a question relative to this topic. My 17 Sierra All Terrain already has a 2" level on the front. It sounds like based on that, I would not need the 5100's. Is that correct and does the 4600's not have the different settings. Please educate me. Thanks, 4W

Sorry if discussed but a month into my new 17 Sierra and can’t figure out how come cargo lights don’t come on when unlocking truck with my FOB. Is there a setting I am missing in the vehicle menu or how do I make this happen. I'm fairly lucky. I bought my truck with 29K one owner. Originated in Canada. It has the bug and rock laminate on it, which I have been told is not that cheap, 750-1K. The front end is spotless. Something to consider if you have your paint redone.
