  1. I am now over 38k miles with no issues after the repair.
  2. I ended up ordering the pulley and the belt from rock auto.
  3. It is the drive belt idler pulley - 55581830 Also, the auto parts stores are telling me that GM has not released the accessory belt patton yet so they can't get them. Am I wrong that this is about 4 years old? Gangly, where did you purchase your replacement belt?
  4. Also the dealership told me if the belt is squeeking that I also need to change the pulley. Is that true? Does anybody know the part number for the accessory belt and the AC belt?
  5. What about this? Amazon.com: Lisle 59370 Stretch Belt Remover / Installer, Slip-Joint Pliers Found In: Tools & Home Improvem : Automotive
  6. Mine started the belt chirp noise when I got it back from the lifter repair. They corrected both sides with push rods, lifters and springs. It wasn't near as bad then as it is now. I should have raised concern then but I didn't. Now I am at 37k miles. I'll check for the belt residue and probably just start purchasing parts.
  7. I am looking at replacements. I can't stand the noise around 50 MPH.
  8. Those Kraken rims look great on your truck.
  9. I’m over 16k miles now with no issues after the replacements. Mine failed right at 8k miles.
  10. I had all 16 done at around 8k miles and now have over 13k miles with no issues at all. I do still really like this truck. I have no plans to trade it in or anything like that. Honestly my only concern is the mark it has on it because the engine was worked on. That means nothing to me but a lot of people are making it sound like something is wrong with a truck that was fixed so that is all.
  11. Still no issues after about 900 miles.
  12. 1-800-222-1020 bbbprograms.org/programs/bbb-autoline This was given to me by GM Customer Care.
  13. Since it is under 8k miles make sure they order parts for all cylinders. I understand that is common.
  14. Dang. I was hoping to ask for Premium Protection Warranty. We will see.
  15. I drove my truck about 300 miles over the weekend with no issues. My issues are still valid for Lemon Law but I can't decide if I want to do that since any used truck is way over priced right now and new trucks a really slim.
  16. I hope everything has gone well for you. Mine has been fine though I have only driven about 300 miles. I still have a case open with GM and asking for compensation for loss during the 38 days I didn't have a vehicle. If I take compensation, I guess any chance of lemon law for this truck is out the window.
  17. GM is offering me compensation. Just not sure if I should try to lemon law my truck, even though I guess it is fixed now. Or, maybe try to exercise a buy back or something like that. Only problem is, trucks a pretty slim pickens right now.
  18. They did not put a new belt on. What would warrant a new belt? I am not at all saying you are wrong. Just curious why?
  19. I just got the call from the dealership. My truck is ready. I stopped by there the other day and spoke to the technician. He had them order parts for all cylinders so the top of the engine was completely tore down while I was there. GM suggested that I test drive the truck with the technician so I could point out anything that I thought was not normal. I also spoke to GM about lemon law and options. They said they were working on rebuilding trust in GM vehicles and were willing to discuss reimbursement option if I decided not to follow the lemon law route. If all is well and accepted, it will have been at the dealership for 38 days. As far as getting another truck, from talking to technicians and GM, 2022 "might" have it corrected. So, I think it is best to wait.

  22. Funny thing is, I called GM and opened a request on Friday. They said I would hear back in 2 business days which is today. No call from the dealership yesterday or from GM but today the dealership service manager called to tell me that the parts are in and my truck is tore down and should be ready tomorrow. Hopefully I get the call from GM. When I do, I will mention that. Thanks for the advice. I am 2 boat payments and 2 truck payments in the hole since I can't tow my boat.
