Just picked up my new rig - 2025 Silverado 2500 HD with the 6.6 gasser. First HD truck & absolutely loving it. Tons of power, decent mileage & all the tech you could ever want. I do miss the native GM infotainment from my 2019, not a huge fan of the google stuff, but have gotten used to it in my wife's new Tahoe. Seems a lot of things were removed in terms of control from the DIC (scrolling through music, navigation favourites, phone etc..) Missing the door unlock buttons on the back door handles, not sure why that was removed, but all minor stuff. Also loving the adaptive cruise control, first vehicle with that feature & it is nice! Have been pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the 2500 is, coming from a lifetime of half tons. Very happy overall!

Noticed the same thing on the GM upfitter website the other day. Appears to be mainly for upfitting applications, though i do wonder if it includes the aux buttons for the AT4/Denali interiors. So far they havent been an option in the higher trims. There are some good videos & info on GM upfitter, should check them out!

Haven’t seen a photo of it yet but there are a few videos of gm reps saying they are going to go in this cubby…

Saw a video where a gm rep said the aux switches will be in the cubby in front of the brake controller on the denali and AT4. Haven’t seen any photos of it yet though..

2024 build is in hoping to get the truck by June or July! A few things I have noticed from other guys who have received their trucks already. Seems every truck I have seen including the fully optioned ultimates have a blank switch in the centre stack. Not a huge deal but still bugs me. Loved that my 2019 SLT has no blanks.. Also strangely no info or photos of the upfitter switches. One YouTube video mentioned they would go in the place in front of the trailer brake controller, but that only covers the Denali/AT4 in the gmc’s. Wondering where they will go in lower trim gmc’s and the Chevys. alll in all very excited to get the truck, been waiting a long time for the new interior on the HD’s!

Good question - I haven’t seen any info or pictures of aux switches for the refresh - the hd video mentioned an aux switch option for the spot in front of the trailer brake controller but that is where the half tons have the console shifter now… would be disappointed if gm left them out of this refresh…

That would be kind of a neat solution... Still would prefer physical switches i think, i love the way the ones in the overhead console feel on the fords... But this would be kind of neat as you could name the switches whatever you want. But yea, im with you, they have never really had a good solution for adding equipment & lights. They are okay on the 2019 - 2022 but not in a great spot. Some of us use these trucks for work!

Curious on this too, I haven’t seen anything on the gm upfitter website yet. Doesn’t look like there’s room to the left of steering wheel anymore, where they were on the 2019 - 2022 Ltd. Hoping they haven’t overlooked this. Would love to see them in the overhead console. That’s one thing ford does right…

Totally agree with all of this! How they don’t have a moonroof or aux switches built in yet I don’t understand. They did add massaging seats to the ultimate so that’s cool I guess. Super cruise also sounds cool, but have to you wait a try it. All in all a step in the right direction I think..

What’s everyone think of the interior? I’m not huge on the new exterior but the Denali ultimate is pretty cool... I think the console shifter will grow on me, still think it’s a waste of space. I do like the new location of the trailer brake controller on the console. Also interesting that the Chevy and gmc are quite different on the inside. Absolutely love that leather colour on the ultimate! Let’s hope they do this to the HD’s for 2023..

Over I like the new interior, I think the previous exterior design was nicer but I am sure I will like it eventually. Really excited to see the gmc Denali reveal.. A couple interesting things I’ve noticed in pictures, looks like we finally get power steering column, don’t see adjustable pedals button anywhere, still miss that from the k2s. Also don’t see an ac outlet in the centre console, although it could be somewhere else. Would definitely miss that for my laptop. Don’t see a 12 v plug, but most people probably don’t use that. Also wondering where/if the aux buttons would go in this version. Sure hope they didn’t forget that... Looks like no room to left of steering wheel anymore, which wasn’t a great spot. Would like to see them on ceiling like Ford has had for a long time. Hate the centre console shifter just such a bad waste of space. But the wireless charger is in a better spot, guess they had to with that shifter taking all the room now.

Awesome thread idea! So far I have my footwell lighting (really like having them on a switch!) and backup lights in rear bumper. Saving one switch for a light bar in front grill when I figure out how to integrate one cleanly and not sure about the other 2 yet!

good luck! i had to beg the dealer to install the factory OEM upfitter switches that i ordered with my truck!! absolutely crazy. hate to say it but this is one area where Ford really outshines GM..

While I think these switches look absolutely terrible and realize they are meant for the 4500 and up (so based on k2 gen trucks), something like this may be your best bet if you really want them up there... would have to get creative with it but since there’s no oem option for this it’s going to have to be custom either way.. agreed tho, it is a better spot. https://www.gmupfitter.com/files/media/photo/1419/UI Bulletin_164 Auxiliary Overhead Switch Bank.pdf

Awesome work! Really like the location of it. Had one in my older trucks but like you mentioned mostly a thing of the past at least around here.
